Hey Folks,
I've tried several times to upload this focus video to you tube with no luck. I compressed it and attached below, hopefully it's clear enough to get the idea. Also note a correction to my previous post: the knurled nuts are not 1/4", they are #10 (apprx.3/16"). I filled the nut with solder and then drilled it out for the #8 shaft. I'm a little burned out right now, I spent an intense couple of days on this project, and all the parts kind of blend and dissolve in my mind. :)

The ground glass "whip" that I use in the video is from a Silver Surfer Vaporizer, which I believe is featured in the movie.

saw the youtube and i use my laser ( jayrob mxdl) for that exact purpose with a simiar system you have using lab glasss of variois forms melted together to make a water bong that i can use as you have but bypassing the water or plug on a gauze head for "normal lighting" with the water part activated
has a rush hole too

Thanks. I like the contradiction of the steampunk aesthetic and a modern technology like a laser. This is what Jules Verne would have liked to carry as a gentleman's sidearm. It is definitely nice to hold, and I find this orientation easier to aim than a pen style form, but that's secondary.

My wife hates this laser, because if it's within reach I can't help but grab it and start looking for something to burn.
