This is a 2 CR123 cell holder I made out of PVC pipe, wire, nuts, washers, and solder. It is all 3/4" PVC (and nonconductive except at the terminals) Cost - maybe $5 and it can be extended or shortened for more or fewer cells by changing the center tube.

It fits very snugly in 1" inner diameter pipe (this piece is for sink drains)

I also use a larger diameter version of this to send lasers and other important stuff. Pretty much bomb-proof. It also makes a convenient laser carry case.

Very nice. Looks about as ugly as my cut down c cell holder. hehe. looks aren't what's important though what works is. This is a very good idea and may use it for any future holders I need to make including AA's

For AA's you may need to use 1/2" PVC - I'd check to be sure...

I would love to but it's packed away as I'm moving. I've only got a few of my toys and goodies still unpacked. I will have everything unpacked in a month and would be more than happy to show a picture of my cr123 holder then.
