Well at least I didn't tell them about your John Travolta's white suit and Saturday Night Fever days:shhh:

Thank God for that, I appreciate it, let's keep that a secret!

Edit: I'm sure glad that we're keeping this thread on topic! :)

Yes, I'm looking into a decent LED array instead, and I definitely see they will be safer. Now to just run some Lumens math for how many LEDS to keep this thing illuminated in a lit room at about 10 feet (I figure if I treat it as a solid object, the lighting simply needs to be bright enough to color the cloud compared to the ambient light).

Probably aiming for a "safe but looks like crap" mode and a "not safe and I'm warning you guys before I do this" mode, set via toggle switch in the costume.

I'm glad you are opting for LED's. Still a little bit cautious about that statement however. :undecided:

Good decision. If I'm seeing the performance I would not feel safe and convenient seeing somebody wears kind of laser suit/jacket. As far as I love lasers, I do not want them to hit my eyes... Rep+

Me neither. Lasers are our friends but not when misused. ;)

Laser jacket!?!?! Wow just wow!!! Glad you chose the led route. I would suggest something like rgb leds controlled with arduino! That could be badass
