I am thinking of getting the micro controller and implementing it with some servos and building a laser light show...

Servo's are slow, it wouldnt scan anything useful. You need galvo's for that.

this reminds me of my old robot i made.. it could follow lines on the floor, speed around the room with out hitting things and make funny noices.. it was also controled by a IR remote! its pretty cool.. i still got it!

Well, no, if you fit a laser module on the robot ..... then it become a "self-moving programmable laser", and fit also laser section :p

(J/K ..... sorry, can't resist :D)

That also reminds me of a robot I used to have. It went zip when it moved, bop when it stopped and whirrrrrrr when it stood still. I never knew just what it was and I guess I never will. :)

Seriously though, cool website.
