Welp here is another one of my..."Just for fun builds"

This one was a long time coming. Since I joined LPF just over a year ago I have wanted to do a mixed laser with green and red, attempting to get some kind of yellow.

A few weeks ago I picked up a couple 50mW 532nm lab lasers and a few 150mW 660nm lab lasers off fleebay.
The base plates I got from some dismantled equipment and the dicro from an A140 projector. I also plan on containing it in a regular Radio Shack job box, with a on/off switch.

I'v read many times how difficult it was to align beams and after some time, some shims, as well as epoxy points here and there, I was able to get it 'pretty close'.;)

I'm pretty happy with this, it's kind of a milestone for me as well as a great experience in alignment.
Hope ya'll enjoy:beer:

This is just before my final alignment.

My three cameras really don't pick out beam colors well, this was the best photo I could get to show the 'yellow' from the combination.

Thanks for looking! Keep experimenting!

I tossed my new creation on the LPM and found it to be a nice, pretty stable...175-180mW.:D

ps, good job!

sorry for the off topic, but what do you do? and where is the $3.80 per lb copper that was inside =p

Looks like you made a nice little setup there :)

Are you going to use it for a projector, or just keep it as such?

Sorry for the late reply....I lost track of the thread and just referenced it in another post.

I am just going to keep it as such....I like the color, even though it does still need just a small bit of tweeking. Really it was one of the first things I wanted to do when I got into lasers full force, so finally I have crossed that boarder.
