The link for those green diodes was posted earlier by Timelord or someone. They are not direct-injected green diodes, just green DPSS in a small package, and as you say, price is probably alarmingly high

(the reason a DX or other module may be longer is because they have a diverging and collimating lens - and for those to be effective, a bit of space in between. Those diodes don't have all that, hence the 10mRad spec)
well, then lets say i wanted to take the insides out of my nebo flashlight. from the pictures ive posted, does it look like i can fit the entire DX green Diode in there? i can solder my own board lol.

No way you'll fit a whole DPSS module and collimator in there and still leave room for AAA batts (not with decent collimation at least). Perhaps if you modify it to use a smaller batt like CR123, but I dunno. Perhaps you can find a longer host unit?

(green lasers are not a simple diode. They are modules composed of a diode, crystals, filter, and collimator at the very least. You need that whole optical train to fit, so its a not as easy as an actual red diode. Perhaps someday we'll have affordable green diodes, but it looks like that will be at least a few years down the road)

no no no the batteries go in the other half of the flashlight. the part i showed in the pictures is only the half where all of the electronics and lights are. how long is "the whole optical trian". i would probably even be able to extend it comming out of the top of the flashlight if needed. i was hoping that all of the modules were able to fit in the top half which id say looks atleast 2 inches.

Measure the length of the two batteries that go into the DX. Or put them along side of the DX where they would normally go. Measure what is left. This will be the appx length of the optical assembly.

but this includes the mainboard that is attached to the optical assembly right? im just talking about the gold round thing with the diode inside. i would measure it myself but at the moment my laser isnt even dis-assmebeled so im not doing that right now.

Whatever is left over would include the whole assembly, diode, crystal, driver board and lens. I think it should fit easily into your Nebo.

but will the batteries fit??

The pictures mikeeey took are only the head of the flashlight. The battery compartment is separate. Look at the website that sells the Nebo.

Oh, I was looking at the first pic on that website. Still, looking at the bottom pic (looks like you lasered your camera, eh?), I highly doubt a full NewWish unit would fit in there with the collimator. Without collimator, sure, but you may need to modify the assembly, or find a different body, for collimated output.

yes i did laser my camera lol. getting a replacement from a friend though.
btw what is a collimator? or what does it look like?

Well the collimator is just a lens. However to be effective it needs to be a certain distance away (or you need to use a highly diverging lens before it). The actual parts to get the green don't take up that much space, but when you add in that collimator assembly (on the NewWish lasers - a threaded tube [as a spacer] with a lens inside the barrel))I don't think you'll be able to fit it in the Nebo light.

i havent been online in a while but im back now, and i took the flashlight apart and took some pics of what it looks like. forgive the phone resolution pictures, but as you can see the mainboard inside is very small and circular shaped at the very top of the flashlight. the insides of the DX laser probably could fit in there but it looks rather hard. i might even have to take everything out of the nebo flashlight so it wouldnt even be a nebo flashlight anymore, just for the case. ill see what happens, and post any pics of what i end up doing with it.
