Using the LM317T, is there a way to use it so that it will push out 1000mA of current @ 3.7v?

LM317's can handle up to 1.5 amps (1500ma) with appropriate heatsinking

Use a 1.25 ohm resistor, min 1.25W and with a heatsink.

yup, get a nice heatsink....(good copper one ftw...but others can be used too...)

Ok, im going to try get a 3watt 1.25 or 1.4ohm resistor and im going to cut up an old chipset heatsink and mount that to the thing. Thanks for the info people.
