I thought the only customs hassle with batteries was Li/ion batteries. Are NiMH flagged as well?

I'm definitely planning it. Considering all the interest, I might go and create a feeler thread soon.

No. NiMH are not flagged, and I found some cheaper sources as well. So ''no batteries in GB" will stand. :)

I haven't been in the GB section on here for a while, is the point of the GB that the actual seller gives a discount for buying lasers in bulk, or does it just minimize shipping hassles?

Both. They're most relevant for sellers that only sell in larger orders though.

Sta - one last inquiry please. Would they consider a low powered 638nm (anywhere from 5mw - 20mw) and a low powered 515nm or 520nm (5mw-20mw) RG:Y unit?. If they happen to stock these diodes. Just a thought. Sorry for the multiple questions, I thought of it afterward though and I'd be upset with myself if I didn't at least ask.

I already asked - sadly, they don't have 520nm diodes.

I've never been in on a GB here. I know we're waiting on the better hosts but as an example look at this 1500mw 520nm. Wholesale XPL-H532G1500 Real 1500mw high power green laser pointer - Alibaba.com
On my own I would pay $395 plus $21.59 shipping. I see that at 100 units the price drops $30 per unit. In a group buy what kind of money are we looking at? An educated guess would be fine. Thanks.

Dcrets, I've created a feeler thread in the GB forum. I have listed the approximate prices (minus shipping) for each laser there. :beer:

I had their 500mW 532 and all of a sudden it just got out of focus and since it isn't a focusable laser idk what to do. Is there any way to get it back in focus? It's a great laser so hopefully something can be done. Thanks!

It's just an out of focus DPSS spot, my phone camera won't show much as the laser is too bright

What about taking a picture of the dot through safety goggles?
Also, you should try taking a picture of the aperture (WITH THE BATTERY OUT!!!!!)

There's usually still some way to focus them. You might need to do a little surgery though.
