You should not trust what they say on the live chat on WL! The pulsar, a DPSS laser? LOL! They probably just said that because they wanted to trick you to buy it. To me, they said on the live chat that the pulsar has a regulating circuit (in fact, it has not) and that the beam would be as visible as a 75mw green laser!;D The beam is not even as bright as a 5mw green laser, so what are they talking about? WL is a company desperate to still be the "largest manufacturer of hi power laser pointers" so that they are doing anything to remain on the market. I think that they are WICKED IDIOTS. No serious company should trick their customers as much as they do.

I seriously think they don't really have live support staff hired specifically for that reason....I just imagine anyone in the office that's not busy with something else answers. :p

They advertise "live chat laser expert", so they should have a laser expert chatting!  It is so typical for them to advertise the opposite they ACTUALLY PROVIDE.  It is 100% clear that they only conduct business using devious tactics and only inexperienced (or non laser experts) will fall for their scam, and that's what their whole gig is, a SCAM.  I personally haven’t dealt with WL because I existed before they did (and so did my laser hobby) so I did my research and ultimately found myself here when I was looking for a real deal.   The person in the front line representing any company (customer service) needs to be carefully selected because it is the "face", it is the lure, the worm on a hook.  In the laser business, not everybody is going to do the research necessary to know and understand the TRUTH because it simply isn't that important to them.  If it were a matter of life or death it would be totally different.  Ignorance is their main tool.  Now, because of this thread, I feel the passion against WL for the first time because I am a believer in truth, honor, respect and loyalty.  WL’s primary device for continuing to exist is the opposite of everything I believe.   And it is 0% Tracy’s fault, that is completely obvious.  In fact, I actually feel sorry for her (if it even is a female) because I’m sure she (or he) is underpaid.  To have a true laser expert would cost WL more because a true expert (in any trade) are aware of their own value and won’t accept under a certain min payment.  No wonder people like Jack are so irritated with resellers like this because he works so hard to be honest and servicing when people out there can sell a Rolex for 1,000% profit by selling a fake one.  How would you feel if you ordered a XXL pizza for $30 and got only a single bread stick?  Thank you for reading my rant.

I like this analogy, but it isn't true with any company, just the WL kind of company. They are luring unexpected victims into a trap. While other companies, instead of showing us the worm so they can catch us, they actually give us food to be happy with and come back for more. :p

I have a couple cores that are OK. (My wife plays with it and the cats)

Never used their "high power" ones.

The one thing i really like are the dragon cases. Those are beautiful, IMHO!

Before I was on this forum I bought a 200mw+ red, open can, pen style. I bought two cases just to put it and the core in.

BTW, from personal experience. I had to send one of the cores back for replacement as it wasn't working properly.

I bought a dragon case for my 5mW evo. The evo died after I left it in a drawer for a few days ::), so I gave the dragon case to my dad and he uses it as a cigar case.

So you didn't bother with the warranty, or did they say that killing it by keeping it in a drawer for an extended period of time is not covered by warranty? :D
