I've defended WL in the past and continue to do so now mostly because of how much more professional their site is and how much better quality their lasers are when compared to the competition. I am NOT comparing them to the DIY lasers available and I am NOT comparing them to Laserglow which clearly supplies lasers designed for more than just hobby level users. My Warnlaser broke in less than a year without regular use. my wicked lasers have not decreased in power and continue to stay intact and in great condition. my friend has a spartan from dragon lasers which lacks the smart switch which i think is a great feature when there are little kids around who might want to see my "light sabers." i have contacted Wicked lasers through their facebook page and gotten better customer service than most companies i have contacted. certainly better than laser pointer pro who first sent me the wrong tracking number and then lost my package and now have promised to contact me in 1-2 days to negotiate a refund or reship. its been almost a week. You criticize wicked lasers for their new lasers but short of a DIY laser, what site is better?

People will disagree with me on this but IMO

Wicked Lasers ≈ Apple
Everything Else ≈ Android

I disagree. The over the top marketing makes their site appear as though written by idiots with little to no knowledge of lasers. I have found a few facts on their site that were just plain wrong and got free cores because of it. :)

The comparison of wicked lasers to warn laser is an unfair comparison IMO. Warn laser sells cheap, low quality lasers. If you're going to compare laser retailers compare apples to apples. Higher quality, expensive lasers to other high quality expensive lasers, such as wicked lasers vs CNI, or wicked lasers vs jetlasers.

The wicked lasers that I have owned have been quality lasers, but so have my CNI, and laserglow lasers. You're mistaken if you think retailers like warnlasers are their competition

As ARG said most of their site is in fact incorrect, I have said this before and will say it again ;)

WL claims 532nm is the brightest wavelength available
Answer? False, it's 556nm

WL claims that 405nm is in the UV spectrum
Answer? False, UV starts at 400nm(Just saying) :D

Just so you know, they get around this by calling it ULTRA Violet. Like a really bright violet or something. Still not UV though. :D

593.5nm ^

They did as a "special edition"

Most sucked, on top of them being advertised as 589nm.

Still some members defending WL eh. cute. the only thing they have going is purdy pictures and a sleek design, as others pointed out, their "facts" are wrong. maybe I can find an error and get a free sample like ARG. I see Fiddy beat em to it, I bet his output more mW anyway.

Did you guys see their pic of the lunar where they made it look like the lasers host left it's print on the moon. oooOOOOO. aaaAAAAHHHHHHH

I don't get why so many like the smart switch and voltage indicator. not that cool. lots of companies make lasers with safety keys. couldn't children learn the code for the smart switch? well, I suppose kids could figure a way around a safety key too, I did.

I personally would hate having to enter a code to turn a unit on

I don't really care about the Inferno now, but i'm curious about the Lunar. I'm waiting for a review of it. Also, how much would a 405 build like this cost?

@ Raiden gekkou, the Lunar is 400mW. You could get a pretty basic, but very functional and well made 500mW 405nm laser from a builder here, probably for less than $150. You probably knew that, maybe you like the WL hosts, I don't know. the laser you linked to is nice to be sure, but I think builds using the S06J 405nm diode that achieve much over 500-600mW are somewhat rare. probably have to find someone who has one already and kill them for it. Thanks. I've been looking around greens and blues for a long time, but i've never paid purples and reds much mind. Purple is my favorite color, so I need to look into getting one, but it probably won't be bright enough for me. I'd still enjoy it though.
