Buy $1,000 worth of wicked products and you get a FREE sonar II burner.

;D ;D ;D ;DROFLMAO ;D ;D ;D ;D

So they are basically admitting that they make so much profit on their other products and the Sonar II costs them so little, that they won't be loosing money by giving away a $2000 item as a gift with only a $1000 purchase

Now THAT'S a bold move.

Why not just sell the Sonar II for $1000 instead  :-?  (Or for the $100 it is really worth)

One would have to guess that their stock of Sonar II's is getting pretty dusty just sitting in the warehouse  ;)

Y'all are just going to have to stop building so many high powered violet lasers.  You are affecting WL's business  [smiley=evil.gif]

Peace,
dave

Hahaha. I agree with daguin, giving a $2000 item away as a gift for a $1000 purchase...

If you were planning to buy 20 goggles, then it would be a nice surprise though ;D

Sadly I have no doubt that dozens of ignorant people will jump all over this and decide that now is the time to get a new spyder II because they'll get a free '$2,000' laser with their purchase.

That would be a nice group buy. Then maybe we could raffle off the Sonar. :D

iono.....people hate on wicked lasers when they offer 7% discount and call it too low, then when they offer to toss in a whole laser...they hate on them for giving too much....

look at laserglow...they offer 700+ in free lasers if you buy the 2149 dollar Hercules 350....and thats lasers you would actually value at their claimed prices, wicked is basically (according to the people on this thread) giving 100 dollars away for the 1000 spent, where as laserglow gives 700 for 2149 spent....

just seems to me sometimes people here love nothing more than to jump on anything wicked does and tear it apart, when the companies they claim are amazing, offer similar deals and are praised for it.

and no, im not saying wicked is a great company, or even a decent one, but it just gets silly sometimes with the way people obsess over anything the company does. I have bought lasers from wicked, and lasers from people here, and lasers from other companies, and would have to say while wicked might not offer the best price per mw, the overall feel and design of the wicked is what makes it my favorite in my collection.

how about someone gets an assortment of goggles from them, then takes the free laser and ebay's it and shares the profit... cheap(er) goggles!

edit-

24 goggles equals 1k after shipping, 25 equals 999.something without shipping...
might be possible...

i'd laugh if stonetek suddenly has 25 shades in stock in a while

Heheh, that's not a bad idea. I'd go for it. You could probably get the price of the goggles down quite a bit actually if you sold it.

I mean, imagine if you got some poor chump to buy it for $1000. Then, 1000/25 = 40, which means that people would only pay the cost of shipping. Obviously, that's not going to happen, but you might get a couple hundred dollars out of it.

People here aren't bashing wicked for giving "too much", they're bashing due to the fact that wicked is giving away a $2000 item with a $1000 purchase - it just goes to show how little the Sonar IIs are worth

Dude.  Your math skillz suck  :p

WL are giving away $2000 for $1000 in purchases    The "gift" is supposedly worth 200% more than the purchase.  The gift is worth twice as much as the purchase

That is not even close to equivalent to giving away $700 for $2149 in purchases.  :-?  This "gift" is only worth 33% of the purchase.  The gift is worth 1/3 as much as the purchase.

I don't hate on WL.  I own several WL's.  The point is that with this offer, they are admitting that their products are worth so little or that their profit margin is so high that they can stay in business offering a gift worth twice the value of a purchase.
