Who Should I Order From?

Hi,

I really want to get a new, more powerful laser pointer after my cheap 30mw broke. I was wondering where I should get it from. I want a blue or green laser between 100mw and 200mw. I also want a laser that is IR filtered and good quality, while being not too expensive like Dragonlasers. Also, it would be nice if it came within 2 weeks.

I was thinking about the Morphling Series from Warnlasers (Green Laser Pointer- Warnlaser.com), but I'm not too sure about how good quality it is. Is it IR filtered? Has anyone had any experience with this company?

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

At first, forget about Warnlasers.

Second, a research around the forum is always helpful.

Depend on how much you´re ready to spend, I suggest you O-Like, Optotronics or Jetlasers. But there are also other good (more expensive) companies like Novalasers or Laserglow.

Happy lasering!

Wow thanks for that link!

So now I'm thinking about getting a Rayfoss because I do not have too much money to spend. The only problem I see is that the ones that are IR filtered are much more expensive. Do you recommend getting one that is IR filtered or do you think its not important? Also, how much of the 200mw will be green and how much will be IR without a filter?

Thanks guys, but I've ordered the Rayfoss green 200mw FLX (www.rayfoss.com).

They told me it will ship on the 8th because of Chinese New Year, but i got FedEx for faster shipping. I expect it to come maybe Saturday or Sunday 2 weeks from now.

Again, thanks for all your help!

Please go with o-like. Rayfoss's quality has dropped lately, for me at least. They sent me an FLX and on day two it started modehopping and dropping severely in power. Other people have had issues with Rayfoss as well. So you can cancel your order or not cancel, but just take my advice into consideration. O-like is a very good company, with good business practices. I never recieved a charger I ordered, so I contacted them. They sent me a new one, no questions asked, free of charge. Shipping was even free. Rayfoss's quality and customer service has dropped lately from what I've seen and heard.

I would also go with O-Like (again).

Good luck with your Rayfoss laser Sohil!

Also, the Rayfoss laser is more expensive..
DJNY suggested O-like, and you decided Rayfoss. Then he mentioned a laser from them he was very happy with. (He has a review on it somewhere I think...) But you purchased the Rayfoss laser..
Would you mind explaining why you wanted to go with Rayfoss?
I don't mean to sound suspicious, I'm just curious.

Well, I was doing some research around the forum and a lot of people seemed happy with their Rayfoss laser. Also, it might be slightly more expensive, but they said that it comes with free goggles. Also, I was able to get an IR filter added for free. There might not be too much IR, but I just want to be safe. And finally, I think that the O-Like laser is a little too small and the Rayfoss just looks better in my opinion.

Has anyone gotten a laser from "lasershine.com" ?

Make sure to do some research around here.
and Welcome to LPF :)
I have never heard of them but they look higher quality than sites like DX. They seem to be a little overpriced on some lasers too. I would recommend O-like or Rayfoss if you want the cheapest "good" quality laser for your money. I personally prefer O-like if that makes any difference.
