The Survival Laser S4™ laser host is here! Our latest exclusive, custom host is now available as an option with the laser parts bundles and as an unmarked host assembly (SL-S4LHA), and is backward-compatible with the battery extension tube, pressure pad switch, standard heat sinks, the Survival Laser holster and other parts and accessories.

The S4 host features include a tapered strike bezel-style crown/retaining ring, a knurled and grooved heat sink holder, battery holder with cooling fins and groove detail, and an enlarged knurled, grooved and scalloped tail cap with a recessed green GITD "clicky" switch. The design of the tail cap and wrist strap retention method permits the S4 host to tail stand.

Wow. It actually looks really good.
I'm picky when it comes to hosts and most of the flashlight style hosts look either over the top or just not balanced. But this is right on. Good job!

Is it for 2 16340s? Will it fit a single 18650?
I didn't see it listed on the site.

Thanks RA. Yes, it will use 2 16340s, one 18650 or two 18650s with the battery extension tube.

I still haven't ordered the 635nm kit which I still really want but was thinking I might actually purchase the 650nm kit first.

Can you you use the Flaminpyro focus adapter with the S4 and is it possible to upgrade to the S4 host when purchased with the 650nm bundle?

The FP conical focus adapter will not work with the S4 host, I would have to design a new one that would fit. A CFA may appear strange with the strike bezel feature but it's worth taking a look at.

I will add the S4 host option to the SL-R bundles, good catch. :wave:

That does look GOOD!

The new switch design is also very welcome, I love it on my new jetbeam.

Edit - What about the other larger heatsink design, is this host compatible with it?

I mean the heatsink pictured here:

It will fit, though it sticks out quite a bit.

Available now with your choice of any of our heat sinks.

I think it actually looks kind of very cool like that. If the heatsink was anodized that would be awesome.

I'm sure FP will come up with a focus adapter design shortly.
