Hello all. I've actualy purchased a laser from this company ( ducks and waits for rocks ). And let me tell you it made me reconsider getting into this hobbly. I ordered a cobalt 2000 on the 14th for feb 2011 ( yes I did talk to the dreaded Dave, I clearly didn't do enough reseach on the company )
I ordered a cobalt 2000 and also wanted to get an extender tube and and extra battery and charger, I found it odd but he talked me out of getting the tube and batteries, I wondered why a salesman would talk me out of a sale, this should of been a red flag but i missed it.I was told it took 4 to 5 weeks for delivery and i would get and email with tracking # 3-4 days before shipping.
At 4 and a half weeks no email, I called. Dave told me that they were shipping millitiary orders first and my was to be shipped soon. a week later still no email, I called again. Dave now tells me that there is a problem with the lens. Axiz changed the lens because wicked lasers wanted a differnt lens and since they are their majior buyer they changed them all, I said whatever ( that sounded like BS to me).
On the 39th day after ordering I still had not got an email. I called yet again. This time it was Ian and he told me Dave had a heart attack and yada, yada, yada, BS,BS,BS He'ed mail it out soon. While I had Ian I asked him a few questions. I asked why does the site say it's only a max of 1800mw when it's ad's as a 2w? He said they can't put actual power on the site due to legal reasons. I ask so what is it really? He said it's at lest 2.1 watts and the temp of the dot at 10 feet was 1000 deg.
After the call since it was the 39th day I filed a claim with pay pal. 9 day later I get a call from Ian asking me to lift my claim and he couldn't take orders till I lifted it, I told him to mail it to me and I would. He was happy and said he'ed give me some free extras from my wait. I asked for that extender tube I tried to buy and some batteries, he asked me if i had a gun and i said no, and he started talking about a gun mount, I said i didn't need it , again no gun.
He overnighted it to me, I dropped the claim. I opened the box, the laser and normal stuff was there, even the tube i asked for, but no extra batteries or charger like we talked about, but there was a gun mount lol.
I was like o-well no batteries, i can get those elsewhere, I ordered them from dino, didn't want to deal with awesome laser anymore.I thought this was the end of the story, but it wasn't...
3 weeks later i got my batteries, put the tube on and clicked the end and .... NOTHING... I was like ??? On the site when i ordered it they said it could that up to 9 bat's , it was now changed to 6 but mine only took 2... I called them back and couldn't get Ian but talked to Nichole and she said he'd call me back. waited days nothing. Called again. Was told to talk to tom thier engener. So I did and I asked about why mine didn't work right. He said he told them about how he was going to add that feature in the furture but they added it early and blah. I asked about why Ian told me it was a 2.1w and mine said 1842mw, he basicaly said Ian lied to me about the temp and output, I wasn't happy. He said I should get a new unit and they would email/call me. a week later nothing. I called again and was told there was a FDA problem and they couldn't mail units but I was to get a replacement asap and they would mail me a return box with the new laser.
Weeks later and many calls later nothing. many promices for a return call or email nothing. I can't even count how many times i called and how many differnt excusses I was given.In may i was sick of it. This time I was told I couldn't get my laser till i mailed the first back. I said are you nuts? I've been told a billion differnt stories of bs, I can't trust you, I've done everything I've said i was going to do, you haven't, you even said you'd mail it. he said he couldn't due to policy, and I said niether can I it's agaist my policy against getting messed over.
I told him Ian was lying to people, I refered to mw's and temp vs what the site says and what my paper says. He asked my what I tested it on. I said I didn't test it, I'm going by what the site and my paper said, he asked, what did you test it on. After talking in a circle for 4 or 5 times i said " Are you listening to the words coming out of my mouth? LISTEN TO ME." he had nothing to say
.Anyways I washed my hands of them.I'll NEVER get anything from them, you can if you want but read this post! IT was insane, never been talked to in my 34 yrs on this planet like that.
