Sinoteck is a Chinese company that can be found on sites like Alibaba/DHGate. They sell 532nm laser pointers rated at 500mW and while companies found on sites like these generally have a bad reputation, I have found the Sinoteck product I purchased to at least be 300mW+

I don't have any of the equipment to definitively verify it but I can assure you this product is very impressive for its price. It has no problems burning dark plastics and such (wear safety glasses!) I picked it up for $48 shipped; included a holster, batteries, and a charger.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from Alibaba/DHGate as 99% of the "high powered" lasers sold on there are no where near the output they claim but if you insist, definitely purchase the one being sold by Sinoteck.

Here is a picture of this particular product. You can see the design is very unlike what many of the other products being sold from the other companies with outrageous output power claims.

Just my 2 cents ;)

Ehrm... Does not compute... in order to burn black plastic, light a match, or pop a balloon, even 100mW is enough.

If this is meant to be a review of that specific laser, please ask to move it to the reviews section.

If this is meant to be a review of the company, also please ask to move it to the review section, and add information.

Where did you order?

Details of the transaction? Shipping Packaging? Ect,.

Certainly try to post some of your own pictures and videos as opposed to using stock images.

I hope I'm wrong, but frankly this post seems like spam right now.

My apologies if this post came off as spam...

In my initial post I wrote I don't suggest purchasing from DHGate/Alibaba at all; but there have been quite a few threads on here where I've seen individuals inquiring about products found on those sites and seem rather hell bent on purchasing something from there

I purchased this one from DHGate in particular

And thanks for that bit of information, I wasn't aware 100mW was all it took for those kind of effects.

Here are some pictures

Nifty little carrying pouch it came in

Holster provided for the unit (It has loops so you can run a belt through it)

As I mentioned, I have no way to verify my "300mW" prediction. I've been through a couple of claimed "1W, 2W, 5W" lasers from places like those and so far this product has been the most impressive.

Just my 2 cents. Not trying to promote any particular company. As mentioned before, you will find much better results purchasing products sold in the Buy, Trade, Sell section on here than Chinese manufacturers.

Packaging was a standard box. Arrived in great shape. Was shipped EMS, took 6 days to get to East Coast USA.

The picture of the beam shot says to me 150-175mW. Its possible there is a lot of Infrared wattage in there as well if it has no IR filter, but as far as 532nm goes, it doesn't look to be too strong. It is very hard to tell from just a photo though. If you are really curious as to the output of that laser I would have it sent to someone on the forum who has a good reputation and an LPM to have it metered.

Sorry if that came off kind of harsh. Not so much lately, but a lot of chinese spammers posted very similar threads in the past.

No way to say how powerful that laser is from the picture, my guess would be around 150mW as well. For the price, you certainly didn't get ripped off. The problem with with such vendors, is most of the time it's really luck of the draw... and the odds are stacked against you.
