I wanted to write a review of Aixiz Service and International LLC and how they handled my entire order. This was the first time I've ever ordered from them, and my first time ordering anything related to lasers.
Mon, Jan 4, 2010: I ordered a pack of 10 Aixiz laser module blanks via their website (w/ no accessories). Cost is $25.50. Shipping was USPS Flat Rate for an additional $2.50, total purchase is $28.00. I used the Credit Card Option since I don't have (and didn't want) a PayPal account.
That evening at home, I had a phone message waiting for me from Aixiz (Chris?) letting me know that they needed the security code on the back of my credit card to complete my order. She was very nice and professional in her message.
Tue, Jan 5, 2010: I called Aixiz from work and gave them my code for my credit card. The customer service rep was very nice and professional. I think it may have been the same person who left the message.
Wed, Jan 6, 2010: A charge of $28.00 was withdrawn from my bank account by AIXIZINTLLLC 702-991-2067 TX.
Fri, Jan 8, 2010: This is the post-marked date on the envelope. The package weighs in at 7 ounces, although it feels heavier than that.
Mon, Jan 11, 2010: Received my package! It arrived in a bubble-wrap padded envelope measuring approximately 4" x 7". There was no damage to the envelope at all. Inside the envelope, I found my purchase in a "Tough & Easy" zip-lock plastic storage bag (also perfectly intact), all rolled up into a tube shape to fit inside the envelope. This was actually wrapped inside a PayPal transaction printout detailing my purchase (dated Jan 6, 2010).
Upon counting every piece I received, I did receive 10 of everything. No pieces are missing.
So, to summarize:
Pros:
1. Professionalism - Aixiz was professional and nice to deal with on the phone. The rep was easy to understand and friendly.
2. Packaging - more than adequate to protect the contents. A padded envelope and another bag. No damage from shipping.
3. Speed of Delivery - only 2 days (8th to 11th - includes a Sunday) to travel 1500 miles. Not too bad, and the wait wasn't an issue at all.
4. Cost - this was the "cheapest" source for Aixiz housing I could find. $2.80 a piece (including S&H).
Cons:
1. Loose contents - The only real "negative" I can even think of is the loosely packaged items inside the ziplock bag. Some of the springs were coiled inside themselves, or bent "into" a housing. They weren't damaged at all and are perfectly usable. Again, not really a big deal.
Overall rating: 5-stars, A+, Excellent!
Would I order from them again? Absolutely.
