Refund? DragonLasers?

Hey guys,

Well my original plan was to return my 447nm lab laser to DragonLasers for a refund as their website states "if you are unhappy with your order for any reason, return it for a full refund within 7 days. No questions asked!".

I got an email from Adam where he said all lab laser systems are final because they are built to order. It didn't say that anywhere on the website. Is he wrong or is this just common practice?

If he is in the wrong should I contact my bank?

Getting rid of these labbies is going to be a hassle it seems....

Thanks,
Alex

Email him back and tell him it does not say that anywhere on the web site and you want to return it ---see what he says.

He doesn't stock any lab lasers, has very little call for them, and there are so many different models, so he does not want to allow a return.
I am reasonably sure in this case built to order just means he had to order it from CNI.

^^ What Encap said. Be polite but firm. Stick to the fact that you were not given that information. Good luck!!

Done!

I said it dosent say that on the email and he asked if anything is wrong with it. I said no, I would like a return.

Sigh....

Edit: If he still refuses to do a return, can I do a chargeback with my bank?

I don't think DL has any legs to stand on with this, no where does it say on their site that you can't return it with their satisfaction guarantee. No where in their terms statement does it cover that either. If they won't work with you, dispute the charge and let your bank handle it, I am sure you will get your money back. Good luck!

Indeed! I let them know I would like a refund since it dosent said that anywhere, and will wait for their reply. If they refuse to honor it, I'll do a chargeback.

What will I do with the 447nm labby lol?

I wouldn't want to take it back for no reason either, but that is exactly what they said they would do on their web site and ethically, I think they are bound to live up to their statement. I don't know what you can do about a charge back to their bank, if you still have possession of the unit.

I would imagine he would have to send it back to them for the dispute resolution process to begin with the bank. I assumed he was returning it either way, either they do the right thing and just offer the refund or he has to go through his bank. Either way he would have to have the laser sent back to DL.

I still have the laser, hec I was ready to stop by the post office tomorrow and ship it back.

You can't promise something on the Internet, then say it isn't applicable to your item(if it isn't stated).

Ask for an RMA before you ship it back, but if he refuses, I'm not sure of the best course of action.

Hey Alaskan,

I told him nothing is wrong with the laser and it didn't say on the website that lab lasers cannot be return. I also said I would like to return it then.

If he refuses to do it on his next email I'll see what the bank can do.

I used my debit card, which means I have 90 day protection I believe. I posted evidence of my case on my other thread :)

I was just going to say that you should get some screen shots of their return policy Incase they try to change it on you, with a lab laser return clause.
