Frank - nice to see you here, and I am eager to see the results of the tests you perform on the lasers you receive back....IF you want to take this one step further - after you are done testing them, if your results are different than Pseudo's - send the SAME two lasers to me for testing, and I will be the impartial deciding factor. I hold nothing to gain or lose by doing this - just trying to get back to the topic everyone comes here for, and that is lasers...

Re: Pseudonomen137 & the defamation of Dragonlaser

im very curious as to the results of franks, and possibly gregs tests as well. i certainly have heard both good and bad things about Dragon, but these recent events are the first time ive actually seen proof that they were underspec. I do appreciate the professional and well worded responses from Dragon Lasers on this issue. Staying tuned for more....

Life is never black and white... I have found this forum to be impartial and informative for experts and newbies alike... My advice (for what it's worth) is to research and read as much as possible and then make your own minds up.... We learn from personal experience!

The world (and this forum) would be a pretty boring place if everyone agreed! :)

It still don't address pseudos problem with dragon laser :D If you call deals of 3-5K and upwards then you are a dealing in lasers [FULL STOP] SO PSEUDO YOU AR IN COMPETITION WITH OTHER COMPANYS....

No, not really. Pseudo has said that with all the different types of taxes, costs to ship it to him, and that CNI wouldn't send him 1 or 2, he probably had to do a big buy in order to get the prices he did. I would bet that dragon lasers/nova lasers gets a much better deal than pseudo does because of the amount they buy. And yes, I believe that if dragonlasers thinks Psuedo is a competitor then there is something wrong.

Whos payroll are you on TL? (Another quip you may recall asking so many others)

Perhaps I am in competition with other companies. The same way Greg is in competition with Spymode for selling those glowtorch lasers.

Either way though, I just made a response post to most of DLs message. I'm assuming that, in the interest of fairness, you will sticky that too TL?

Well if pseudo (Carter Haines) is a competition then get ready for a company LAW SUIT LOL!!!!
Pseudo is a FANTASTIC GUY but he's not a company and the LAW these days can F++K people for DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER IN BUSINESS (this will cost a lot of money that Carter does not have).........

I'm sorry, what are you saying? I may have misunderstood you, but it seems you're threatining me being sued for protecting consumers? Is that correct? Internationally too?

Am I supposed to cower now?

How about now?

Seriously TL, you're a whole hell of a lot better than this... why are you going to such great lengths to protect them?

Re: Pseudonomen137 & the defamation of Dragonlaser

Timelord,
It's defamation , not deformation...lol And it can work both ways and this case could very well backfire on DL depending on how many out of spec lasers they are selling. So I would suggest dropping it.

I am trying to remain neutral. However Carters tests are very telling and I don't see him as having any reason to skew the results of his testing. The fact me_to_lazy received an under spec unit is also cause for concern. I think the best way to handle this is what Greg suggested and take it from there.

In addition, let's see what DL does to remedy me_to_lazy's issue, as well as any issues that are brought forth by members that have received underspec lasers from DL.

I have no doubt they'll fix the problem
however, the $50-60CND shipping fee back to China with tracking will hurt... a lot

I agree. DL was very good about their return policy actually (so far). The problem still stands though that:

#1 - No underspec lasers should go out in the first place. 2 in a row is unacceptable by any standard. It is not true that most people who buy 125mW lasers have access to a power meter, and its a shame to think of all the unknowing people who may have lost $ in the past. Eh, I guess ignorance is bliss. I miss the days before I had a power meter.

#2 - Yeah, the shipping costs can kill you. If you just decided you don't want/can't afford the laser, sure, you should have to pay shipping. If you received a product that fails to meet spec from the start, the customer should not be responsible for the shipping out of their own pocket.

So you haven't sent these back yet I presume. Why not, with DL's permission, send them directly to Greg, and let Greg test them before they are sent back. I don't know...it's just a thought...
