Optotronics questions

Thinking of ordering from optotronics but I was wondering where do they ship from? I was just concerned if customs seizes the laser, what happens?

Also, is there a better company to order from? I hear good things about them. I just want a laser that will last.

luckily for you located in USA so no customs.

Well, lasers going into USA usually don't get caught in customs anyhow. Optotronics is run by a LPF member IIRC. I don't remember who, but if they chime in I'm sure they'll be able to answer all the questions you have.

Customs is not an issue as the lasers are shipped from US. Service is excellent.

As far as longevity... it should last a good long while, just stick to a short duty cycle and don't use the laser in adverse conditions (when it's raining, cold, humid, super hot, etc).
