I bought one of these lasers because I heard that they were waterproof and at $27 I figured I would give them a try.

When I bought it the status was IN STOCK Ships in 1-3 days. It is now Back Ordered - ETA 3/31/2008 (21 days!!!!!!!!!!

Omfg that sucks :mad:

I can understand the slow shipping but can they at least update the status of their items?

I hear you though man. I ordered 2 30mW lasers, Both were "in stock and ships in 1-3 days' I already got one of them 5 days ago and the other still hasn't been shipped. From my experience it is best not to order any lasers from DX that look like a flashlight. They never have them even when they say they do.

HA I ordered to more 635nm 70mw the 29 of feb and they just shipped today along with my two 5mw OEM modules
i even paid for EMS got a tracking number but cant track it cause there is no info yet

That crap happens all the time with them. I think they don't update their instock/outstock indicators on their web site as often as they should. When ever I order from DX, I do it based on the fact that I know that eventually, I will receive my order. I never get my hopes up on when I think I might receive my packages. When they come, they come! ;)

Hey Maxpcuser you might want to change your signature. I wish they did however DX does not sell a 70mW 635nm laser, just 650-660nm

i've read a lot about EMS shipping on the DX forums.
all the people who complained said that paying for EMS was completely worthless as it took it as much time as it did with registered air mail.

Faster shipping doesn't do much when it already takes them a month just to ship your order.

I got a package from them two weeks ago and I had to sign, how recently are you talking?

Sometimes they make me sign and other times they don't. It depends on the value of the package I think. Anything under $10 they just slip through the mail slot.

because under 10 it isnt registered

orders above (i think) 15dls are automatically upgraded to registered airmail and as such u need to sign for it.

I live in Slovenia, and i had to sign for the first two packages, and i expect having to sign for the next two as well..

The fifth one is something, that was missing from the first order, and they just shipped it, but it would seem it is not registered. Looks like they try to save on shipping, when splitting orders up.

I was always able to see, when shipments left HK, and the same number showed, when they came to Slovenia, if i went to our post page, so they have to be registered.


So far, i have been very satisfied with their service and customer support, even tho the lasers are of an inconsistent quality.. But after telling them about the problems with the first one, they tested the next one according to my instructions, while talking on Skype in person..


Sometimes it can take long, before something gets shipped, but it's no where near KaiDomain "In Stock" items shipping time..

That would make sense, considering, that they have to pay for the free shipping..

My opinion is it can depend on the mail person. I know I've received some packages were my signature was required, I just found them in the box. Other times, she has come to the door and had me sign. I don't really know.
