Hello,
On 10/15 I ordered the Crown Upgrade 400mw for $199. Received an email from them it was shipped on the 21st. I was reviewing their tracking info on my purchase and it shows it arrived at JFK on the 22nd and departed from JFK on the 22nd and arrived in Singapore on the 23rd. No activity since the 23rd is logged on the tracking website. I inquired about a week ago and they assured me it was on it's way but still no laser. It's been over a month now since I paid.

Is this normal shipping activity for O-like? Or am I to expect faster service? Since this purchase I got in on the GB for the FireDragon 500mW for $339 and to be honest I don't really need this one now...I have asked for a full refund and fortunately I used PayPay...I have their buyers Advantage program that assures me a full refund from PayPal if I don't receive the laser.
I am still curious about others experience with O-like's shipping times and their customer service when issues like this arise...

I am still waiting on a reply from them on my request for a full refund.

Thanks for your insights,
Jeff

wait for 44 days total from payment and then file a dispute if you don't get it...

but shippings from Asia (I assume that's where they shipped from) this time of year are extremely slow... I still wait for some things ordered 1 month ago... and last year. I ordered in December and received the packages in MARCH!! ...

I will never order something past november because it gets here in like 3 4 months......

All china posts are in some kind of transit and are extremely slow!
Don't know about O-like but I if they ship from China it could be delayed a bit!

I just got a response from Susie at O-like:

Dear Sir
ITEM DESPATCHED TO OVERSEAS** is not meaning it is aready at oversea ,it is on the way
You can we just posted it Oct 22, is it possible to get your airport on Oct 23?
We just checked your package is still on the way
*
Thanks
Susie

Not exactly sure I understand everything there but I get the point.....

I informed them of my intention to file a PayPal claim on day 44, for now I will leave it alone.

I just now found another thread dedicated to Ol-like shipping, it's at the bottom of the page at the Companies section....funny, I searched for O-like and Shipping and the search did not bring it up but when I just Perused the pages I located it...seems this is pretty normal shipping times around this time of year....

Ok, well...still no laser. I filed a PayPal dispute at 42 days (I didn't want to forget so I did it a few days early). I made them aware. I requested a refund as well. The next response I got from Susie at Olike was she would look into it and if she could not determine where the laser was she would issue a refund by the end of tue week. Well, the end of the week was last Friday and I didn't hear from them. I sent an email last night reminding them that a PayPal dispute was filed and that when a product doesn't arrive it is pretty much an ironclad guarantee that they would rule in my favor. I also warned that I would make it my mission in life over the next few month warning every member of every laser forum not to do business with them. I received a reply today...they want to send a new one. Too risky and too late. I won't have enough time to deal with PayPal be the time another may or may not arrive. I said simply "no, it's too late. I want the refund you said you would issue." if they do not issue it within 48 hours I warned them posts will go up on every forum. I am interested to see what happens next.....

I understand their loss must suck but it's not my fault. They are in a mail order business and loss must be factored into their margins. If they do not refund my money soon I will let everyone know here.

So far you can make your own minds up as to whether or not to do business with them. I personally won't be. They have not only taken my money and left me high and dry...they have not done what they promised to do and seem to be trying to buy more time which in my opinion is just a way of jerking me around.

Oh yeah...the tracking number...well it has now expired....yep, that's what it says on the tracking site...that since the status has not been updated in the past 30 days the number has expired....

If they refund me and it does arrive I will let them prepay shipping back to them and pay me about 10% for my time and effort to send it back. Otherwise I will be selling a cheap laser here....keep tuned.

Here is a cut and copy of my email discussions with them, I have partially removed email addresses and phone numbers for my security....
Jeff,

We will do refund 24-48 hours

I don't think you understand...I don't want it anymore. It has taken too long. You said you would issue a refund and that's what I want. Why are you so intent on sending another laser rather than just issuing me a refund? You said you would issue a refund and that's what I expect. Your reputation is at hand here.

Susie,
About ten days ago you said you would check on my shipment to see if you could find out where it went. You also mentioned that of you couldn't find it by Friday (four days ago) you would issue a refund. It has been nearly two months since I paid for this laser. It has not arrived and as far as I can tell cannot be found. It's time to issue the refund you said you would issue.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

You may ask why not just let them ship another? Well, my clock with my PayPal dispute is running out...soon I will have to escalate it to a claim and let PayPal arbitrate...let's say they send another and I receive it and it's broke or a penlight or some other piece of crap...I may run out of time by the time I actually receive it and I'm not sure where that puts me with PayPal....more risk than I am willing to take at this point with them. Plus, I also participated in the Dragonlaser GB, even if I did receive it in good order...I have a better one on the way!

For those of you considering using Olike...why not hold out for the next group buy with Dinodirect? Everyone of the lasers coming out of these GBs are over spec and a better deal. For the same price as this Crown Upgrade I ordered you can get one that will easily outperform it.
Check back in 24-48 hrs...

I just noticed a bit of irony above...look at the link I included in my email transcript...

"source of.....perfect service"

Perfect goes a bit differently in my book....

i was refunded all my money today by O-like....they finally did as they agreed. should the laser arrive I will offer to ship it back at their expense. If they are unwilling to pay for its return I will auction it off at eBay and send them the money minus any expenses incurred by me. I would not be surprised if it does arrive someday but I couldn't take my chances, $207 doesn't grow on trees around here. If it does arrive I will post a link here to the eBay Auction...who knows,, someone watching here might ultimately end up with a nice 400mw laser for cheap....

So, in the end this is my experience with O-like. I Paid them on October 15th and the item was allegedly shipped on Oct 26th...eleven days later. I began to inquire about it's whereabouts on November 15th at which time I was assured it was on its way and that it was common for holiday shipping times to take upto six weeks. When it did not arrive on day 42 I requested a refund and filed a claim. I was told they could not refund me because it may still arrive. I continued to email them requesting a refund noting a PayPal claim was made. They eventually agreed to look into it's whereabouts themselves and if they could not locate it they would issue a refund by that Friday. Friday passed and no email and no refund. Emails went out from me daily until I finally heard back from them Monday night. twice they emailed me they wanted to send another and then finally a refund came through today. Make of it what you will. I am sure they sell decent products and it seems plenty of people are pleased with their service and lasers...thats why I ordered in the first place...

It's been my experience that when things go well with o-like... they are great.

Unfortunately if you're one of the unlucky... it becomes a big headache.

My most recent experience has confirmed this. Ultimately they came through, the laser is great, and given that they are in china, delivery time frame was acceptable...

What does bug me though is that they didn't actually ship out the laser either of the two times they told me they would.

I've recently been dealing with susie. I ordered and received my 500mw crown upgraded 532 in less then three weeks. It works good but the charger had a bad solder wich took me some time to figure out. I fixed the charger and the lasers pretty mind blowing. Susie has yet to get back to me but I asked for a reimbursement on the charger or even a set of diffraction grating lenses. She has been very good about keeping in touch and helping me figure it out but ultimately it was me who found the problem and fixed it. But the way Susie treated me and the timely shipping I Deffinently WOULD recommend o'like to anyone. The laser itself now working is a beast. It hasn't been lpm'd but at this point it's not neccasary to me. While burning its pretty killer. Two by four wood starts smoking instantly. The laser looks awesome feels awesome and is so bright I feel I can hardly look at it. I think the problem you had is uncommon. I've since bought my girlfriend a kaleidoscope pen from them too. You have to understand there's no perfect in the business world. Shit does happen. I'm sure if you'd waited a little longer it would've showed up. But then again I can't blame you that wouldve been to long for me. I received a laser that was shipped from Canada and it took twice as long. so anyways I'm glad it all turned out for the best and that does still suck that it was that much trouble.

I wouldn't be so sure about that...as far as it can be discovered it doesn't seem to have even made it across the ocean.....the tracking number expired when it had been over a month and it left China...there is no evidence on the tracking system it ever arrived in the USA....it probably went to some other country I imagine and that's why it cannot be tracked any longer. Probably sitting on a customs clearing lot in New Zealand or Amsterdam or Dubai or some other place....I will be very shocked if it does arrive personally, it has not been my experience for things to arrive from China once apparently lost. This isn't my first lost item from China and none of the others arrived yet either. If it does arrive I guess I could refuse to sign for it and the PO would eventually return it to the sender.

my 500mw crown came faster than i thought when i ordered

sounds like your 400mw was lost/stolen in post, taking 11 days to post isn't really acceptable though

the fact they refunded you though puts them on the 'safe list' of sites, at least in my book

Ordered my 400mW 405nm on December 3rd and paid extra $24 for EMS.

Got it yesterday.

Asked for foam support in the battery area to be put in and the silver version rather than the black, got black with no foam support. :undecided:

I'm guessing since they are one of the reputable vendors, they are getting swamped from holiday orders.
