I ordered a laser about a month ago from them and still no laser, I had a couple of responses by e-mail stating that it was going to be shipped soon this was around the 2nd week of march. Been sendig e-mails the past week and no response from them now, does anyone know if they even exist anymore.

If you used paypal, file a paypal dispute and then raise it to a claim. Once you start the dispute, under no circumstances end the dispute until you have a fully working laser in your hands because if you do end it without a laser, you can't start a dispute again.

Chances are, they are just ordering the laser from China (or building it in the case of the BR's) after you pay them for it, with the plan to ship it out to you once they recieve it ... Which of course could easily result in a few weeks or a months delay, plus a week for shipping here in the States - personally, I'd just cancel the order. If they won't refund, then do as suggested above with PayPal.

Susie at O-like can get you a killer red 200mW for $47 with batteries and charger (generally within 10 days or so) , BR builds here on the "Buy-Sell-Trade" forum are usually between $75-90 for PHR's up to 120-130mW or so, the occasional 200mW+ 6X Blu-Ray shows up for between $220-250, and greens are always floating around cheap (or you could buy a Jayrob kit with one of Susies modules and get 150mW of verified output green for under $150 or so) ...

Always do your research here on the forum before trying ANY new laser company - there is a wealth of good information on many companies, and often you can save yourself $$ and wasted time :D

I haven't been to his site for quite some time, but IIRC her builds these when ordered. Also, they were not that attractive and well overpriced for us. He may not have had the needed parts on hand.

Peace,

Justin makes the nitrox builds by hand in California. That's weird that its been a month with no laser shipped.. He usually gets them done pretty quickly.. and he isn't the type to screw over his customers.

Try calling his number, it's on his website and I believe he has a business cell phone that it goes to. Not sure on that though.

Get your money back and I'll sell you one of the coveted 6X Blu-Rays with a 200mW+ guaranteed output in a polished Kryton Groove host with a flexdrive for $240 shipped - there is no other BR out there at this time with the output and reliability of the original 6X diode (with the exception of the 8X, which would cost you more than my 6X for just the sled, and hasn't been 100% tested to where a reliable conclusion can be reached...)

Not that Dave isn't kickin a** trying to get us that very conclusion! ;)

i never saw the point in buying a laser where the module sticks out past the heatsink(if it even has one). wheres the heatsinking coming into play if the modules stick out that far? :-? ::)

p.s. has anyone mentioned the fact that theyre ugly a h*ll too..? :-?

^It may be possible to file charges for fraud. Did you try a paypal dispute or anything like that?

I too have fallen victim to Justin T Keltner. I paid (lets just say way too much) for a 300mW burning green laser. The item finally shipped and got to me in about a month. Upon arrival, I got it in a USPS "Body Bag". You know, the bag you get mail in the post office basically shredded. Well here's what it boils down to. The idiot shipped the laser in a bubble mailer, that was too small for the body of the laser to begin with. So when it finally got to me all that was there was the laser body and a charger. No battery, no safety key. An unusable product. I paid through Google Checkout. I filed a dispute with them and they contacted Nitrox (Justin). I got an email response from Justin saying that once it leaves his place, he's not liable, which was stated in the terms of shipment. I could file an insurance claim with USPS. Well, I can't. I already talked to a friend of mine who works for the post office and since insurance wasn't purchased on the item, they won't be paying anything back. Of course, they way he had his checkout process setup in Google Checkout, you could not purchase insurance. After getting his email, a few hours later I got another email from Google, saying that Nitrox will no longer be allowed to use Google Checkout. Nice. Some vindication. So now I'm dealing with my bank to see what they can/will do. I think with the combination of emails and pictures of the mess, the bank will be happy to grant a chargeback. I see now that nitrox is going through a leadership issue. I think what they mean is a "bait and switch" issue. What a disgusting individual.

Post post edit- I had mis-stated the mW as 350, because in Justin's email to Google and myself he stated 350. However, I paid for a 300, and upon further inspection of the case I received a 250. I have found why I will win my case...

Nitroxlaser is located in Silicon Valley(CA) here is the address:
IP 208.78.241.67
~#52 S. San Pedro St.
San Jose CA 95113

I hope this help someone in here.

I live like 30min away from them and fortunately I haven`t bought anything from this guy yet otherwise I would probably hunt him down with a potato-shooter gun.
