All of the beams on my class 4 greens are technically multimode not singlemode. The spots are not a clean singlemode TEM00 at any time. Since mine are always run under modulation (being turned on and off rapidly) instead of continuous output like handheld lasers their characteristics are different, but the beam profile is never 100% stable on any of them. It's just the price you pay for inexpensive power. For average hobbyists and all laser shows there is no real need for perfect beams though..

Also, being TEC cooled helps show modules like mine stay more stable than passively cooled modules.

Here's an example of a typical profile for my lasers:

you can see that the spot is round, but the power distribution across the spot is uneven, with hot and cold spots. Yours should be similar to this once it warms up and stabilizes.

An oval profile isn't a problem at all, but if the beam profile never consolidates, remaining clearly separate beams even after warmup then you have a warranty claim. It should be noted that modules like yours used in handhelds have duty cycles (the length of time you can run the laser between cool-off periods) so I wouldn't run it much more than a couple minutes at a time. After a few 2-3 min. runs the crystals inside the laser should be nearing their optimum temperature, so your "warm-up" would consist of several 2-3 minute runs separated by 2-3 min. of off time. My show lasers aren't guaranteed to be at peak stability until after 15 minutes of run time.

Once again, thanks for sharing your knowledge! Since i can´t run it much longer than 2-3mins (i´ll try to go a bit further with additional cooling elements), i am not sure if my module will consolidates. But i will test it as soon as posible.
And because my aim is a good divergence, i am not sure if the "oval" dot will affect the divergence!? What do you think?

The supplier (David) told me, he will replace it if i am not satisfied with the output. I got to decide that as soon as possible.

Thanks so far!

Greets from Austria,

Christian

Honestly, given that I've been in your shoes, if you're anything like me you should probably just send it back to Lasever and have them fix it up. You probably won't be completely satisfied with it until you do ;).

And thats some true words  It would probatly bother me for ever if i didnt send it back :)
Lets see if David is willing to do so...

Finally my new module arrived. David sent it to me in advance (other one wasnt sent back yet) what makes him a very confident business partner. I am pretty impressed to get such a good customer service from a chinese supplier.

New module has a perfect TEM00, just what i was looking for. Now i started with building a housing for it and with adding some cooling to get nice results.

As for the first test with lens: burned a hole in a black paper 5 yards away... in a few seconds.

Haha, it seems that I find my base here.

Actually we would like to offer best price for all our products
However, due to the manufacturing cost, some of our lasers are not cheap.

But I can bet that most of them get a competitive price

Maybe u guys can PM me or send email to me,
I can't talk too much here,
I am afraid to break the rules of this forum cuz I am still not clear with the rules

Well it's more safe in this thread in particular; being this is about lasever; however I would still keep it in your thread, just to be safe.

Actually we are planning to promote our blue lasers such as 405nm 445nm & 473nm
They are also cheap as our green ones

But I doubt if it will break the LPF rule to start such a thread?
Or can you help to introduce us to your friends?

I can pm you the updated pricelist.
Thanks in advance

I can send the price list to you guys as well; not much changed since the last version. It doesn't include the blue, red and violet handhelds on it as a note.
