The True 50mw from dx, is a POS !
I bought one, and it mode hpped like crazy only after 3 hours of use.
Yeah its 50mw, but then it will not even get near 30mw, after it mode changes to tem 01.

$60 for a "200mW"? I might buy one for the IR pump, or as a cheap pen. (I'd buy IR goggles, of course, and an IR filter, if it's for the green) If it mode hops, I could always pot mod it down.

Those pen style lasers are a piece of junk. I've been told that any of them over 50mW are not stable, mode hop, and spew dangerous amounts of IR. If I were you, I would stay away from them.

How would i get one of the 500mw ones ? That's a good price, but i live in the usa.

i just bought a "true 5mw" for about 14.50 from them, i guess thats now the price of the true 10 huh? too bad i cant get it...

i am sure that i will not get 150mw, but for this price if i will get only 100mw it could be amazing...
everything is about money... 150mw is nonsense but ont the other hand if DX declare it like 150 and in fact it is only 50mw then it ich nasty cheating...
i would belive in 100mw at least... :-/ :-/ :-/

there is probbaly same pump diode in each of them...  what determine output is alignment of crystals..

i dont know actually if it is right but  i had same question like you some time ago and this was an answer which i  found by surfing around this forum.

Well i found that the "true" 50 has a 500mW IR diode pump but found nothing about the rest.

they all have that same 500 i/r diode the efficiancy determines the actual model

if one is really efficiant say 150-200 mw output it will be branded a 150 or 200

usually somtimes you get a 100mw for the price of the 200mw -sometimes
