My head is spinning with all the companies n prices n laser out there. I started on eBay and when trying to find out the diff between the 301 n 303 lasers they are selling I found this site. I can't seem to figure out the diff between the 301's n 303's on eBay and need some help. Now looking through some of your laser company links I found a company selling the same looking laser but advertising it as much higher power. I was wondering if that was legit or if it's just a eBay 303 laser that they bought cheap and jacked up the price a bit and are just saying its a lot higher power. Thanks for looking.

200mW 532nm 303 Focus Kaleidoscopic Flashlight Green Laser Pointer (with one 18650 battery) at Laserpointerpro.com

First off, what is your budget and what wavelength are you looking for? It's very important for us to know how much you're willing to spend before recommending a company.

I was just looking for something cheap n entry level to play around with at night. I live on 2 acres and just thought it might be neat to mess with out here in the woods. I posted up 2 links that look like the same laser but they have very diff specs. I was hoping 1 of those 2 would be a decent entry level laser and would be cool to play with at night.

Well, once you get into the 10mW range and over, you will start needing to wear laser safety glasses which can take some of the fun out of using it indoors. But if you only use the laser outdoors and only point in the sky (avoiding aircraft, people, cars and houses) then any power laser would be just fine. Just make sure you don't point more powerful lasers next to you as the scattered light from the dot can damage your eyes from prolonged exposure. So, that said, most people on The Laser Pointer Forums would recommend companies like Sci-Fi Lasers, Laserbtb, Jetlasers, and Laserglow.

Or you could buy from forum members for some even better deals on hand built systems.

Jetlasers (awesome looking hosts and the best quality of Chinese lasers)
Sci-Fi lasers (super cheap, high quality and built in Israel)
Laser Glow (super expensive but super nice and straight from Canada)
Laserbtb (very good quality for Chinese lasers with extra safety features installed)
