My recent Lazerer experience

About a year ago I ordered a laser from Lazerer and it took a volley of emails and six weeks of waiting to finally receive it. The unit was of stellar quality, and works as good today as the day I received it.

I decided to order from them again last week and had an almost opposite experience. From ordering to hitting my mailbox in Ohio took only eight days! Instead of the twine-tied, brown paper wrapped package of last year, this one came in a modern, self-sealing plastic mailer with a professionally printed standard label.*

And to further contrast my experience of last year, this laser lacks in quality of build, mechanical wise. It works just fine, but the focus-head threads are sloppy as all get out; nothing that some Teflon tape could probably take care of.

Oh well.

lazerer used to be a very good company with cheap on spec lasers, but since then they've gone way down hill,

based on other members experiences i would avoid purchasing from them again until they become the once reputable company they were, if ever :)

The same trend that happens to a lot of chinese retailers... they build up a good rep just so they can make a bunch of money later selling crappy stuff
