Alright. Now, I'm getting angry. February 14, Ordered 2 lasers from lazerer. The 100mw 532nm keychain laser (click) and the 500mw 405nm Devil cyber (click)
the 532nm worked great, until it recently dropped and broke. the 405 on the other hand, died with just seconds of use. Seconds. I shined it against a wall in my house, and about 25 seconds after i turn it on and start focusing it, it goes dim, and dies. Having it on for this short a period of time and it dying is in no way my fault. I turn it on, and shortly after it goes dim and dies. OK, Now this is march 18. Months ago.
So i send max an email telling him i want to exchange or return it. Eventually, he says ok. Finally, after i shipped and he received it(of course, i shipped the laser back within the 7 days that i received it, as stated in the terms and conditions on there website) he tells me that he will replace the diode for $18, AND he wants to charge me 3.99 for shipping.. Now, i am thinking....hmmm..what happened to the first line in his terms and conditions page?
1. Customer can return the item within 7 days upon delivery for warranty (repair/exchange/refund). In this case we will bear for all the cost for parts and maintenance. Buyer will only pay for the shipping cost for the entire return process.
I send an email back the same day (may 30) telling him that i do not want it repaired, but i want to return it for a refund. Still, today, nothing back. June 6th, i ask send a paypal request for the laser of $104.99 (looks like the price dropped $5 since then....) and i have not received anything yet.
So has anybody else been screwed over by max before? three, four months is way to long and this is really turning into a load of bull.

your problem is even if you request the money back from PP, you waited longer than 45 days (iirc PP has a 45 day limit to request refund). i would have said this is what your policy says, so fix my laser for free or refund my money. its partly your fault for waiting so long but either way max should have been more help. he fixed mine, well actually completely replaced it for free, i just had to pay $5 return shipping.

sorry to hear about your problem, your only hope at this point is max refunds your money or fixes it for free. id stay on him about those two options. PP wont help you anyways since its against their policy to use PP for purchasing lasers.

Good luck and keep us informed

true, but heres the thing. I have been doing my best to stay on top of him the best i can. My emails would take a week (at least) to be answered, when i emailed him back the same day.
i would sometimes have back to back emails with a weeks time spent in between.
Either way, he has my money/broken laser, and it doesnt seem like he is returning anything. Also, not to mention he has violated his own terms/conditions.

well i see your point but IMO you didnt do everything you could have. when day 40 rolled around and still didnt have a set response or answer, i would have opened a dispute with PP. this would force him to answer your questions or lose the money.

all you have now is staying on top of him and trying to get something figured out, otherwise you are out your money and laser

Lazerer gave me a paypal address SHAMHOMAN. I ordered 2 lasers on Feb 17.

No answers to email, no lasers, and I too was very busy so I forgot the 45 day PP rule.
I hate to spread any negativity....but the amount I lost is Obscene.

Now that I am back at the helm of my finances I will try to recover this money either through getting the lasers or working with the credit card company I used through paypal.

I used them in the past with excellent results. Its not my responsibility to keep on them, I ordered. They asked if pp would be more conveinient, so I went that way and paid In Full and then Lazerer ships. Easy peasy.

I relish the fact that MAX is on here. When one member says he is having problems, then another and another. Its not the members ITS LAZERER.

I've never purchased from Lazerer, but I had heard it was a good company. It's really sad to see their reputation go south.
