Max or Max laser I can't remember is their rep for teh forums, and He's a good guy with pretty good english, really fast response times when it comes to questions, plus theres 4 or 5 guys on the forums who have gotten lasers from them.

P.S. Don't confuse them with Lazeerer, for his sanity sake. :na:

Sooo, general consensus being that this is a good place to buy? Iv been searching around a little bit (not overly hard), and this looks like a good place to start. The price seems to be right for me. Although Im defiantly a newcomer to the laser community, iv always had a laser pointer of somekind kicking around. Never more then a simple dollar store keychain one unfortunately. It wasn't untill recently that a friend of mine bought a higher quality pen off ebay, which turned out to be terribly fun, that i was hooked and now i feel like stepping it up a bit. The ol' lady wants in on the action too as she picked out the purple one they show online as well. No buys yet, just thought id see what people thought here before i go spending real coin.

They seem to be a pretty good seller and haven't read about any complaints. All of their lasers are guaranteed to be on or over spec when they send them out. They are in China, so your shipment might take a little while to get to you.

Alright next question (sorry if this strays a bit, mods, feel free to move this post if needed) I was looking at buying the batteries for the lasers separately, as it seems to be a far better deal, although i had no idea the variety there was. Now im assuming the mAh rating on a battery will be the length of time it lasts, but i was wondering if there was a limit, or if i could just throw the correct size, large mAh number battery in the same pointer and just have it last longer, or if it would adversely affect it. Another thing is there are a lot of variations of top styles (flat top, tab, protected, ect..) but i have no idea which one is correct.

well, there is a "include battery + charger for $5" option on that site
but if you want high quality batteries, i would suggest you buy from the forum members that are currently selling them
they will arrive faster than china for sure

^^^ good advice- I NEVER send or receive batts with lasers in the same box from China and even sometimes sending tail caps seperate from the rest of the lasers. never had a problem- ~45+= units in 5 GBs for JETL.
my advice would to buy all you need including the lasers from LPF USA members or up your way in B.C. Wannaburn makes some very very fine lasers-Toronto---

Or join a GB.

Lighthound- sells and ships fast for batteries or see LarryDFW et al here at lpf.

hope this helps.

Just thought I'd post this somewhere. My 100mW 532nm from lazerer suddenly started outputting ~5mW (estimation). I tested the battery and even tried a different one. The laser had very little use. I just turned it on one day and it was pretty dim. I'm returning it.

Are you the same person? If so please inform the mods and have one account deleted.

The LPF member you want to contact is MaxLZR: Laser Pointer Forums - Discuss Lasers & Laser Pointers - View Profile: MaxLZR

:eg:Going to play devil's advocate here for a second...

How long have you had the laser?

Was the laser working as advertised when you got it?

How much has it been used?

Has it been dropped or mishandled in any way?

Maybe putting the battery in the wrong way?

When you say you tried a different battery, did you use a AAA battery or a 10440 battery fully charged to 4.2v?

I am not Zonk...

I did receive a DOA unit yesterday afternoon though.

But it takes a 16340.

I just asked the easiest way to contact this vendor.

I wasn't going to mention that here until you got involved.

Thank you.
