Canada seems to be slow into the US, of the few orders I placed from Ebay; it has taken anywhere from 2 - 3 weeks for AirMail packages; the postage on the package proves when it was posted and yes it really did take that long in almost every case. Don't know why but I can get trinkets from DX in less time than from CA using the same shipping methods.  If it hasn't been 3 weeks yet, don't get too excited, it really is that slow...the only way to speed it up would be to use EMS or Global EMS.

it took forever for him to ship the meter he shipped to me.  3 weeks I think. If you want my opinion on a laser power meter for roughly the same price? I'd go for this one: http://tinyurl.com/5uk2j2
it's from aixiz and probably an ok meter. I'd like to see how well it performs.

Yeah, like kenom said, it's only good to 40mW and it uses an optical sensor.
The Sper needs to use an optical correction chart (for other than 632.8nm) that's
located on the inside of the cover and you need to multiply your reading with that factor.

Inside the cover above the conversion table it says " Using the below conversion
table of spectral sensitivity characteristic (representing value), measurements of
wavelengths from 400nm to 1100nm can be made as rough readings".

I think $200.00 for a rough reading other than 632.8nm is a little expensive. IMHO ; :)

Canada Post's "estimate"  of 6-12 days is VERY optimistic.  Twenty one days is not uncommon coming from Canada.  Also, unfortunately, the number you get is ONLY a delivery confirmation number.  You cannot track the shipment. :(

I have shipped many packages out of and into Canada.  I would NOT be worried yet.

Peace,

I'm sorry. I wasn't clear. I was referring to "expedited package delivery." I wouldn't ship rocks from Canada via parcel.

I know it is frustrating. Things get here from China more quickly than from Canada. I still say it is too early to be worried. I don't think I have EVER gotten a package from
Canada in only 12 days and I am only one shipping day away from Los Angeles, California (a MAJOR shipping hub)!

Peace,
dave
