Hi guys, I'm new to the laser business and I haven't had good luck trying to find a cheap 100mw-150mw laser that wont be a 2 month process to buy it.

I decided to get a 5mw laser, already tried amazon, didn't work out, laser died quickly. I saw a bunch of reviews on laser-glow lasers such as the Lyra series and the Galileo. (I'm on a budget of about $70 MAX). I was wondering what you guys recommend of those two. One thing I'm worried about the Lyra is it runs on AAA, and from my experience from my cheap amazon laser pointer, it instantly killed batteries. Could I just buy enloop rechargeable batteries? Will the laser run as well with them? The reason I was leaning to Galileo is because what it runs on(battery life) but overall I just want the brightest/visible laser possible based on those two. (keep in mind I'm a newbie) Sorry it's so long lol

Anything form Laserglow is of great quality. They actually brutally test their lasers for weeks before they go on sale and LPM them on 5 of their 10 LPM's they have. You should feel comfortable with the purchase :) Ive heard great things about them. plus they live in canada. This could make it a 2-5 day delivery! GL with the purchase!

Both are good choice. The Lyra will run with either alkaline or ni-mh rechargeable batteries and it has a momentary switch. However, the Galileo has a clicky switch and will require a CR123 cell which is not rechargeable. You can get a Li-ion rechargeable battery similar with the size of a CR123 but its voltage will be at 3.7V which might fry the laser.

You could also get the Anser-Libra combo for $68.

I know this is not going to sound good, but i was considering getting a high powered laser from laserglow but i got a wicked lasers krypton instead for a lot cheaper. Im not sure what a laserglow laser could offer me that would be worth the extra $300. does anybody have a "thing" against WL? i love'em.

One more thing guys, how long does the delivery/processing take in all? Does it usually take about 10-15 days?

According to their site they ship via FedEx or USP. It should take only a few days.

You can get cr123 in a rechargeable lion 3volt. Take a look at battery junction. Rcr123a. 3v green writing are the ones Frank at Dragon lasers recommended to me for the 1w Spartan.
