Laser Community Forum and Wicked Lasers is BS!

I went to the laser community forum and made a post in a thread where someone was asking what laser pointer to buy. He was looking at the Spyder II. I posted that he should "...give Optotronics a serious look." When I reviewed my post it was automatically changed to "... give Wicked Lasers a serious look." They put words in my mouth!! That made me mad. So I Edited the post to say "Google: RPL Laser and click the first result". Then my post was deleted all together.

I have since come to realize that the laser community forum is a wicked lasers forum. I am totally turned off by wicked laser. They will never get my business. First, I didn't bash wicked laser in any way. I just mentioned the competition. Obviously they are afraid of what the competition has to offer. Second, they should probably call it the "wicked laser fourm" so people aren't led to believe that it is an open forum for the entire "laser community" to speak freely. Third, they shouldn't put words in my mouth. If I hadn't checked my post I would have inadvertently advised someone to consider wicked lasers. If they must censor, then "...give XXXXXXX a serious look" would have been a better approach.

I just needed to vent. I'll be moving along now. ::)

That's hilarious that they really go THAT FAR just to push their product. If a company truly has a great product, they need not worry about the competition because the product will speak for itself. In this case, the product HAS spoken for itself and is actually turning people away from wicked because they realize how shitty the products are. I guess they have to employ these ridiculous methods to keep business... :o
 
Once again, proof that it isn't just common notion on these forums that LC is bad. It's everywhere. :)

All I did was mention that my W.L. Classic was broken & the only advice that W.L. would give me, was to buy a new one, & I promptly got banned. :o :o :o :o :o :o rob 8-)

their forum has been absolute garbage for months now, i can't believe some people still post there....
 
LC = WL advertisement. It is a communist community, unlike the one we have here, at LPF. But that's because it's hosted from WL and to host a forums site is an investment, made to bring in business and for anybody who opposes that will be filtered out. And, if they were to call it WL forums (as it should be), it will be much more obvious and people will seek alternate horizons. I think what they are doing should be illegal, lies, deception, false advertising, and manipulation. I've never registered, but I think I should, just to see how long I'll last.

I think someone should make a site called Wicked Lasers truth or something so that when people google WL the site will appear with all the info to keep people away.
 
get two people that have account there and pm the other about a better company.
see if they edit it :)

EDIT: i have a theory. do you know when you swear the leters will get changed to ***. well a word like 'nova laser' would be changed to 'wicked laser'.

I'm going to post something there, but using the word written as Opto-tronics and see what happens. ;)
