Good day laser lovers!
I am working on a project to import laser products from China. There are a lot of affordable products but with many of them on mainland China people are dealing with another country and with different time zones and often expensive shipping with no USA source for services.
I would love feedback from potential customers before I invest time and money in such a venture.
My initial plan is to import and have stock here in the USA. One of the manufactures is discussing making my company their exclusive USA distributor with repair functions located here in America.
Part of any new plan of this type is to determine where the market is. What do potential customers want in the way of products.
Their present line included individual modules of various color lasers with power outputs from 30mw to 1,000mw. They also offer some very affordable RGB modules for the light show enthusiast.
Accessories would include scanners/galvos and perhaps driver boards to interface with your CPU or Arduino etc. to build complete laser shows.
Having direct influence with the factory means we could suggest new products as well.
Individual modules of higher power could, of course, be used for engravers and other such uses with appropriate servo controls.
I would love to have your feedback to help me determine where the market interest is and for what types of laser products. I am not really interested in pointers as there are many sources out there for those.
I will be posting a form for suggestions on my site Market Survey and will duplicate this post in other forums as well.
I really appreciate all of your help to decide if this would be a venture worth pursuing and what potential customers such as yourselves would want to see made available from a US warehouse.
