I have triple what Mortuus has from them and am very happy with all of them. Every single one of mine are overspec too. Actually thinking of possibly buying a couple pen lasers from them as I never bought the 405nm they sell but have pretty much all the rest of the pens they sell plus some HL and PL too.

FYI

... Sky played a part in the early days of Jetlasers--at first JL purchased lasers from other companies like Sky and improved on them with better (brass) threads- better heat sinks adding key lock and shutter etc .. goal being to make a better, safer and close to 'legal' handhelds...

I have their Handheld model 445nm 1W. It came way overspeed at 1.23W and is incredibly well made. I highly recommend

Sky lasers or BTB are some of the nicest in my collection. They feel so incredibly solid in the hand and all mine are way over spec by at least 30%. I would have more but the only downside is their shipping costs more than most companies and they charge per laser not per package by weight. I have bought all mine from the BST forum to avoid this. But if your only ordering one laser its not so bad. About 40-50$ but when I tried to place and order for 4 lasers the shipping cost more than some of the lasers in the order. I couldn't justify close to $200 in shipping.

Their hosts are very well made and unique, same for Jetlasers its worth the money getting the HL or PL hosts.

Hello to everyone on the forum.

I'm about to buy my second power portable laser.

I'm looking for a high-power blue laser - for use in burning, star-pointing, and to put on a show.
1W-2W may be overpowered, but I really want a burning laser.

After some investigating around the forum I was left with the general feeling that SKY lasers is a reliable laser company.

However, before I buy I'd love to have some recomenations from the laser gurus that inhabit this forum.

They have sereval blue lasers for sale in the 1-2W range,
I cannot decide which one to buy.

Blue Laser Pointer <--- Link

The prices vary allot for the same power. Only the casing varies.
Why?
What should I look for in laser other than output power?
Should I just buy the cheapest 80$ per 1W blue laser or go for the 130$ with better host?
Are these lasers focusable?

The description doese'nt help much sadly.

Thank you very much for your time! :yh:

Please do not buy from SKY Lasers. Their lasers probably use acrylic lenses which will melt after prolonged use and inevitably destroy the laser.
If you're looking for a cheap blue laser, with no special features, the best site to purchase from is BitLasers.com.
Here's the laser I'd recommend: The "BitBrew" 1300mW 445nm Blue Handheld
It's fully focusable and should fit your needs. It's also built by a forum member (Grix), which is a plus. :)

Have a look at laserbtb web site and save a little bit of money ---they are good quality lasers--everybody on the forum who has them likes them: laserbtb

If you want really great quality with many features other makes don't have and best customer service in the business see: most powerful blue laser handheld, 5w 6w blue laser 445nm portable, 445nm 3.5w 4w blue laser pointers jetlasers

If you want low cost see: Thor M II 2 Laser Pointer 445nm 450nm Blue Laser Beam Burn Match Paper Military | eBay

Also see the Buy, Sell, Trade section of the forum for LPF members who build and sell

Encap, I think you're confusing SkyLasers with SkyTech Lasers. SkyLasers sells the same products as LaserPointerPro, while SkyTech is a btb reseller.
Edit: never mind, skylasers is a btb reseller too. But they seem to sell lower quality products as well.

Also - agreed on the Thor laser and JetLasers.

You are right I was confusing Skylaser with Skytech---Skytech is owned by same people as laserbtb

Not sure about ownership of Skylasers but yes they too do resell laserbtb products as well as others.

Yeah, I have many laserbtb products. I haven't had a single issue with any of them and most turned out to be over-spec too! :)
