Smaller --- 200mm vs 270mm for PL-E, so about 3 inches shorter
No internal focus but does focus by unscrewing and extending crown part
Lower price.
Am told duty cycle can be continous but and stability cycle is not as good as PL-E ---am waiting for high power 500mw and above, 532nm, test results.

That will put it at roughly 8 inches. That is still pretty big if you think about it. If they want instant money from me then they can make the Ti-A's again. They were sleek, elegant, powerful, everything one could want in a laser. I miss mine when I think about it.

kinda early for Pros and Cons as no one at the forums has seen one yet in person afaik.

but I will assume..
some will miss the side switching
some may not like the focus thing.
gone are some of the safety features- no front shutter or key switch or safety pin afaik.
On the tailcap there is either a place for a safety pin or that is where you can attach the wallwart.
some will like the clip
many will like whose offering these- IMHO thats a huge Pro.
The size may not be too bad- only 30mm longer than the Ti-B series.
I hope they can supply all the wavelengths and powers listed.

but we should expect that, ....AS there so no way JL can know for sure who will want to order what and when and some will need to wait. At least at first.

I think quite a few will want a 638nm- and for sure many will want the EQ 532/500.
One of the nice improvements the Pro Pl-E have is the smoother feel- The EQs dont look too smooth.... those fins behind the crown look cool but they also look kinda sharp.

We can debate the duty cycle til we are blue in the face but one think i can tell is TRUE_ these have not been around long enough to tell how much the lifespan is effected by running these or maybe ANY laser til its very hot on the outside. as that tells us its EVEN hotter on the inside. Its hard enough to explain why we use/like/collect lasers .

This no rest cycle is even harder to understand-- It does say that IMO it should last a lifetime at conservative duty/rest cycles and that really should be enough. From what I have been told- the buyers in China are much more 'into' long run times than buyers elsewhere-- go figure...

I was really excited about this host announcement until I saw the clip on the side. :(

Looks great other than that!

We'll probably have to wait till someone gets their hands on the first one, but I would like to think the clip may be removable.
Use it with, or without the clip.

100% phoenix!

JetLasers are the best of the best at reasonable prices.

The new Equality series is a JetLasers product and will be another great product in their line of products.

You can be picky about any given point but what JetLasers offers is so much better than what is out, generally speaking, that it is no contest.

The Jetlasers people are laser enthusiasts and not just money only people as so many Chinese companies are.

Look at what they have done/offered so far----all of the exceptional products by people who love what they do.

Customer service: There is nobody better in any company anywhere that I have encountered than Gray at JetLasers--he is hands down best at what he does and wants only happy customers who feel they received something the of value that they enjoy for the their hard earned dollars----that is a rare thing/position these days.

Looking forward to LPF reviews of the new series.

Sorry for the confusion on the clip thing - it was in the design - but so far we havenot picked up the right one among the clips we sourced - so it doesnot have clip now - if there is one, we will make it removable. i agree that adding the clip is like painting the lily.

I agree with Wannaburnstuff that Ti A is a better design and the size is more fit for hand or pocket - this current so-called equality laser is still big and looks like a rough boy. :cryyy:
Thank you!
