Did it come with the 10440 proto?
if it didnt luckily i didnt get that one as i have no meney to buy those and i dont have any atm :p

Hey hey, thanks for the tip. Yes, very bright indeed. Divergence is horrendous though. The beam expands quickly at 12 inches. The dot is about the size of a half dollar at 10 feet. Not looking good. :yabbem:

i am guessing you got the 100mW one ??
can it be focused like the 50mW one?
i have to keep focusing mine everyday as when u shake it it unfocuses itself :p

Tried using 2-part epoxy on the tip to stick it to the flashlight head?

The 100mW is a small pen-style. So chances are it can't be.

50mW flashlight style, and neither can be focused. It might be from the lose lens. I'll have to play with it later.

Using my patented, calibrated eyeruler, at about 25', give or take a few, the dot appears to be about the size of a quarter, maybe a little more.

@TTerbo, yes it came with a 10440.

um yes the 50mW ultra fire laser can be focused??
unscrew the head, there is the laser module it can be focused from there.

Teflon tape should do. If you want something more permanent, go for 2-part epoxy...

10440? I just want something that puts out over 1mW.

*facepalm* I'll stop threadjacking.

I think the 50mW is unintentionally focusable. Loose head, not much you can do about it. It may not be attached to the tip of the torch.

You'd think they have used a fixed focus module with a fixed collimator.

It rattles but its not the end lens. I'm going to use some Teflon tape to keep if from unfocusing.

The postman knocked on my door 5 mins ago. I'm gonna buy a CR123 primary battery and hopefully tomorrow I'll have posted my review.
