Hello folks!

I was searching around on aliexpress today and found this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New...id=a6ae48b1-c6eb-457c-bceb-e401c339e107&tpp=1

The 450 looks particularly promising, as it may even use a single-mode diode. That would be quite a bargain at $20. Also, the beam of the 450 appears to be clearly visible with no fog.

It is likely that these pens can accept standard 12mm modules, which is nice.

I have asked the seller for more details.

Edit: Looks like I found another source. I will ask for more info.

Nice find, doesn't hurt to check it out for the price. Hosts are different from the cheap pen hosts we're used to, pleasant change. :D

Nice change of pace from the standard pens, thanks for the link! It would be a plus if the 12mm modules were an easy swap.
Keep us informed if these turn out to be a good find. :)

They sent me the picture!

From this picture, it certainly seems to be single mode. I'll be purchasing one, along with possibly a few other items, soon. They are having a sale on 11/11!

It seems they do not ship to the netherlands sadly, but otherwise an interesting deal.

If it actually IS a single mode 450 nm, please post that here so i can contact them about shipping, seems to good to be true for the price.

Pretty sure it is, everything they've shown me is consistent with it being a single mode diode. I don't see any mode stripes in the image that they sent me.

Why wouldn't they ship to NL, though?

Hello folks!

So my 450/532 pens and my 405nm 500mW arrived today.

They are all slightly underspec, but not enough to be actually meaningful.

532 and 405 are case-positive, by the way; 450 is case-negative.

The 450 is definitely single-mode, which is incredible at this price! It evens out at around 50-60mW.
The 532 has a very, very thin beam, and stays rock solid at 35mW.
The 405 stays fairly constant at 450mW.

So they're all a little bit below what they were said to be, but that doesn't matter much to me - for $67.67 shipped I got three very good lasers.

The switches for all three feel unusual, though, but not in any way that's bad.
The 405's switch (forward clicky) is totally silent. Not like the cheerful 'tick-tick' of my lightsaber, and DEFINITELY not like the heavy 'tuk-tok' of my S4X's switch. Just... nothing.

The 532 and 450 have switches that feel very slightly abrasive when pressed, but they are reverse clicky and take a lot of force to activate.
This makes them particularly apt to be placed in your pocket, as it's HIGHLY unlikely that they'll turn on by accident.

All three lasers feel very solid, and I can definitely recommend lmlaser to anyone wanting a nice, budget laser.

A full review will be made soon!
