I'm sure there's a utility out there somewhere for this, but I got tired of checking the Hong Kong Post web page, and wrote this little program to track my package for me. At the moment it only tracks one package at a time, but I figured I'd share it with other. It autoupdates every 30 minutes.

Anyways, I've got to run, so here's the package:

have fun, let me know of problems with it.

And seriously, it's not a virus, scan it if you want. If you're still scared, then just don't download it. That simple.

Also, SO SORRY, my new IDE for some reason only has .NET framework 4.0 right now so... yea you'll have to update.

I'll get a more compatible version out soon.

I don'tr trust it, I didn't get anything from scanning it, but I got a medium risk from the setup.exe

Eh scratch it, I'm redoing it for USPS tracking... it's looking pretty good now. Reason is: Hong Kong Post will only track it until it leaves the country. USPS tracks all of it. So I'm modifying it right now to do USPS instead. Eventually, it will be able to track multiple packages at once, but for now, have to get this stupid .NET 4.0 thing straightened out... can't seem to get Visual Studio 2010 to let .NET 3 or anything in..... irritating as hell...

I just tried it. But only tried - It needs to NET Framework be installed, and it takes so much time to get processed, so I canceled the instalation. By the way, my samsung F3 HDD did really weird hard seeking noises.
Even if it works, it is not good, easy, user friendly app to install.
If you are so good, you know to compile exe and other stuff for it, You could do some online sever running app. with no instalation required hm?
I don´t want to be rude, I know You are just doing some help and support for us, an I´m talking some sh*t to make you angry :-) But....

hehe crash, no offense taken. I'm installing Visual Studio 2008 right now (reverting back to it really). VS 2010 is nice, but that .NET framework issue is annoying. I should have a new version up today, along with another one for USPS. I would make one for you, but I doubt the website for your postal service is in english lol.

No, but I think I don´t need to know where is the shipped box in my country. If it arrives to my country, I get it within two days. I only need to know, in which country is the shipped thing and where is it heading to.

Ah I see. Well anyways everyone, here is the new version, written using .NET 3.0 (dropped it low as I was comfortable with, could have gone to 2.0) This should work for anyone though now.

I took a screenshot showing it working, plus you can see some of the code in the background. I know it's not proof of being virus free, but eh.

Oh and crash- the setup.exe file is the .NET framework setup file. You can actually just ignore it.
Run the HongKongTracker.application file. That's the actual prog. After you run that, you can run the prog from the start menu. Much faster that way.

Parabola949 I cannot open your last link about new prg version. Forum says "link is not valid". I hate framework. Do you know what happened? I ended framework instalation, and it said, It will need some reboot to complete. Now I came home, turned the computer on, went for some food, and when I came back, PC was off. Turned on again, bootup, windows logo, and dead again. This is exactly why I hate this microsoft shit stuff, not only because I must install it. After some restarts and backuping, I´m back online. Please DO IT EASY WAY or i kill myself from anger :D

It works for me now. THX anyway, but it says the same as DX tracker - The package left HongKong for its destination on 28th may. So if it went straight way to Czech, it should be here tomorrow :-)

link is broken.

Btw, I check it with the av, both malwarebytes antimalware and Microsoft Security essentials say its clean. Also, 200kb are the generic installer and the application is just 6kb, no virus could fit in there ;)
