Flimsy DragonLasers Boxes!

Ok, when I first got my dragonlasers 75mw viper and saw the little box it has I know the flimsy join would eventually break on it... 3 months later, yep you got it, its just fallen apart in my hands. I now have a box with the foam padding inside and what is now a removable lid.

The only thing dragonlasers need to change asap is the boxes. The join is just a flimsy bit of paper and if you use your lasers as much as I do it will eventually fall off because you opened th box so much.

Even though I would still recommend dragonlasers, just be wary your box may fall apart in your hands.

good point, i just spoke at length with a rep from Dragonlasers recently about possibly adding high quality cases to the order for all of their laser purchases. glad you got a good laser from them though, and the only thing your complaining about is the case!

Yeah, I am pleased with my laser. In fact if I had a power meter on hand I am sure it would kick out around 85mw on fresh batteries! Just that I am disappointed with the case, sure it looks cool and you wouldn't even know how to open it if you quickly glanced at it but its just so flimsy.

I am now stuck with a broken case or I could use sticky tape which is just going to ruin the whole box.

I think that the case is a shipping case to get through customs.  Most of us have fancy metal cases from the old leadlight days.  Use one of those !!  Smoke shops also have metal cigar boxes which will hold several treasures - red, green, blu ----
I never worried about the case.  My DL 95 is carried every day in my pocket and is looking tough but it works every time.  That's what counts.

As you know I'm no fanboy of WL but I do own several Dragon cases. so if you want to show off and protect your laser these are very good. Fortunately the 'wickedlaser' logo rubs off leaving that choice dragon engraving. :D

Exactly what I did timelord! ;D I have two Dragon Cases and a bit of rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs does the trick if you use a bit of pressure. Now if only there was a good way to get their name off of my laser shades.... ::)

The main reason I use it is so I can keep it safe from damage if I ever take it out to a friends or something. Problem now is the top will fall off and worst case the laser falls out of the box and the spare batteries follow it.

I can buy empty boxes from WL then can I? Of corse I will remove the logo on it.

the WL boxes have molded letters so while you can rub the silver coating off, it's still easily readable so unless u wanna be taking a grinding bit to it, it's not gonna be removed easily

From what I've seen, Dragonlasers uses the same cases that Wickedlasers do, or at least used to. That same silver box with the carbon fiber-style pattern on it, with a foam pad with slots cut for batteries and the laser itself. Actually, when I ordered my Fusion 125mW (that outputs probably 55) I didn't even get that. When I opened the box they shipped me, I found that there was no foam padding, it was just a crappy little wooden box with the same crappy little hinge, and my laser had been bouncing around inside it for god knows how many miles. Wickedlasers is shit.
