Customs are looking for drugs / chemicals / radiactive/ biological weapons and ordannace ( explosives). I belive they have specific scanners for this as they try to automate most of this inspection stuff.

Well i have a couple of laser still coming and then thats it.....only local builds and laser equipment. ie Lpm, Voltmenter , prism, and batteries

Yo 9Ring. You gotta learn how to edit your posts and stop double posting.

And everyone needs to learn how to be patient for the love of god.

Mine shipped on the 18th and arrived like two days ago now. I blame snail mail, not DL for this delay.. I however totally agree with those who have said they need expedited shipping options. They already take the steps necessary to disguise the package as something that won't be inspected, why can't the same steps be taken with DHL or FedEx? When I use DHL from Shenzhen to my place it takes three days, it's got tracking that WORKS, and a friendly person actually knocks on my door to hand it to me.

Mine showed shipped on the 15th and arrived on the 29th. Hard to not constantly check. Took a chance on a couple O-like units 500mw crown and a 250mw red that have shipped. Interested in seeing how long they take in comparison. Expect the 500 hopefully by the end of next week. Edgy about the hit and miss that I've seen from others from O-like

I just though I would put up my response from DL. I sent out a lot of questions to multiple companies and builders last Friday. I believe this was a fast response from a company over seas...

Hi Christoffer,

The 1 watt Spartan laser has a beam that is collimated (adjusted to be very narrow and focused) so it does not need a focus lens for most applictions. It uses a new generation 447nm diode that is efficient and cheap which is why we can sell a high power laser to you for such a low price. This laser is a diode laser and only produces 447nm light with no other wavelengths such as UV so it does not need or have a built in UV filter.

We are going to produce a beam expander for this laser that will allow you to focus the beam and greatly extend the range. If you order the laser now, I can give you a discount on the beam expander later when it is available.

Regards
Frank

Dragon lasers has offered the same shipping options since as long as I can remember. I don't see why they would lose business now because of not having different shipping methods. The only other option I could see them adding is EMS.

I would think that less people would want to order from DL again if the shipping takes so long. I'd rather buy directly from CNI.

CNI doesn't take individual orders. As a matter of fact they have ripped a few of our vets off a few thousand dollars with defective lasers. The only reason we as hobbiests can get orders directly from CNI is the fact that we order in bulk. IIRC I think the last GB was a bust as well (I could be wrong here.)

However I see what you are saying so please don't think I am disagreeing with you

I just wired them money for an individual sale. We'll see soon enough if I get ripped off.

And it's all good man :p
