All kind day, I from Russia. Ordered on dinodirect some times, before new year all came, after new year orders have ceased to come. I have ordered one month ago 3 blue lasers 1000 mw, till now have come nothing and even track number haven't given, all was gone money 800$.
It is necessary to open dispute probably.

You´ve ordered before new year or 1 month ago?

If you ordered before new year you won´t be able to start a PayPal dispute (expire after 45 days after order).

Hope you get your lasers, $800 is a lot of cash. You´ll get about 5pieces of higher quality blue lasers with ~1500mW output from this community here for the same cash.

Here for example:

http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/fs-1600mw-1-5a-guidesman-g1-445-lens-60925.html

Make sure to read all about safety before. Get yourself good laser goggles, otherwise you or someone else would get blind quicker as you can see.

If this is your first laser, start with a lower output one, like a 50mW green laser.

I hate to bump an old thread but I just spent £190 on this website, ordered a 500mw green laser. I wish I had read All of the posts. Is there anyway to get a refund now, or am I prone to get scammed? I do however live in the Uk, Might be even worse for me? It looks like quite a large company, I wouldent think they would scamm people like that .

I bought a 1watt 447mw laser (never heard of a 447, looks like a 445)
1000mW 447nm Waterproof Adjust Focus Blue Laser Pointer Pen (1 x 18650 Battery), Britain - DinoDirect.com

it took about a week and a half to arrive. Arrived in good shape. Came with a 18650 battery and charger, the battery was fully charged. It comes in a beige cardboard box with foam inside.

At first I was disappointed because the dot was not sharp. I knew that the head was focusable, but I couldn't get the body of the head to rotate. With some suggestion, I was able to break it free. I opened up the focus head and found what looked like a aixis glass lens that was loose. I tightened it down with some loctite. It will now focus and allow me to burn easily. The body is very sold and heavy, has a great feel to it. They claim it is waterproof, I don't want to test it out. the end has a piece of glass over it. All of the openings have o-rings. It has a warning sticker, but does not specify the output wattage (needs a dot in a checkbox).

compared to my 1-1.2 watt survival laser, this is somewhat dimmer. I can see the beam in daylight, but it is about 1/3 dimmer. I have no way of testing the output yet

^^^ Should be 700~800mW like all the other recent chinese "1W blue" lasers....

I will tell my DinoDirect story too.
Placed 3 orders for two Star cap green pointers each back in december last year.
Two orders arrived within about 3 weeks. I kept waiting for the 3rd order, and
forgot about it untill it was to late to open a PayPal dispute.

I went on the DinoDirect website, and opened a "did not receive, please re-send" case.
Waited patiently. Nothing happens, RMA status is not updated.
Go on live chat. Bla-bla-bla "ok we'll take care of it"....
Waited patiently. Nothing happens.
Go on live cha again.
"So what's up with that RMA"..... blablabla
"just to let you know, I'm a member of the biggest laser forum, and I will tell
everyone about my experience with you"

Suddenly two weeks later, the "missing" order finally arrives.

So. I don't think they are totally bad, they do have some good deals around, but
you really have to search well.

And when you do have issues, their customer service is a bit difficult to work with to put it mildy.

boys... i found at dinodirect the best price for 445nm lasers.

THIS 1000mW 1W 447nm Waterproof Adjust Focus Blue Laser Pointer Pen (1 x 18650 Battery) - DinoDirect.com seems to be the cheapest. at 123$. but there is a similar(same) model with hgher price at 164$ WHAT COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE?

in this comparison 500mw Blue Laser, 300mw Blue Laser from Blue Lasers

i an see ALL 445nm laser.... also the 500mw version(why only 500?).
but the laser i linked ABOVE.. is LISTED CHEAPER THAN others 500mw with same host..... so.... why?
i'm tempted to spend 123$ for this laser. but...

after i receie it, COULD I OPEN IT AND CHANGE the power of the diode ...with higher current to hit 1watt?

DinoDirect was a bad experience for me.

I had an event I was hosting and needed some novelty prizes for my guests.

Six weeks before the event I placed an order with DinoDirect. I thought this would be plenty of time since they advertise you will receive the product within 10 days.

Two weeks before the event I could see my order was still sitting in their warehouse unfilled. They had already cashed my money (WARNING, do not give these people your credit card information).

I placed multiple calls to the DinoDirect support department. Each time they tried to get rid of me by saying whatever they thought I wanted to hear. No action was ever taken by DinoDirect.

The package never arrived for the event (despite being assured by DinoDirect it would be there) and I was left scrambling to replace it with other stuff.

When it finally arrived a week later (7 weeks from when I ordered it) I was missing a bunch of stuff and given mostly the wrong stuff. Basically junk.

DinoDirect refused to give my money back. I think they feel since they are in China there is nothing you can do about getting your money back, so screw you.

DinoDirect motto - "Buyer Beware, Sucker!"

Dino Direct = cheap company, and plenty of people will attest to that statement.

Ordered a 100mw 650nm laser module from Dinodirect with power supply. Plugged it in and it died immediately. Wrote them on their own forum several times with zero response. Customer service is non-existent. Quality control - zero. Great deals but only great if the laser you order actually works. Better off with a company that sells only lasers and does QC checks on the products they sell.

:tsk:

Dino Direct is the biggest fraud company out there, they were charging my account for membership and want let me return the garage they sent me. I put a complaint in the Federal Trade Commission.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM EVER...

They are so hard to deal with and just don't trust them there are other places to go and get deals.
