Either that or Wicked's monopoly is driving them out of business ;D

I don't really like the idea of Wicked using the name TechLasers to resell CNI's, but it's not as bad as I thought.

Woah, Here is what they used to be:

15mw    $89.99
35mw    $109.99
55mw    $129.99
75mw    $159.99
95mw    $199.99
125mw  $329.99

Compared to the new prices:

15mW $99.99
35mW $129.99
55mW $159.99
75mW $199.99
95mW $259.99
125mW $399.99

Hmmmm... i wonder what brought this on ?

It's a puzzling reaction to the whole pseudonomen debate.  When accused of scamming and generally selling underpowered product, why raise prices?  Do they actually WANT to stay in business?

Perhaps this is just a random coincidence. I don't consider myself so important as to singlehandedly drive up a company's prices

Maybe the price jump means that the devices shipping will meet spec. If the actual (as opposed to reported) output across the product line goes up, I would imagine that the prices would need to go up or the margins for the devices would be lost.

I could be off base too - it is just a guess!

That was my first guess too, but the price on the 95mW went up nearly as much as the 125mW. In order to ship in-spec 125s, the difference between 125 and 95 would have the be made significantly wider. Best off would be to just list a 115mW as the max model - those aren't nearly as rare to come by.

ya i think that they might be doing that! they realized that on these forums people are talking about how they send out underpowered CNI's. maybe the extra cost is because they are weading out the underpowered and only selling the up to spec ones.

that would be nice actually. although there are sites out there that DO sell up to spec CNI's for way cheaper like NOVA.

they could be testing to see if they get more income or something by raising the prices, or if it would just make less people want to buy them. maybe if people see that they are more expensive, theyll think theyre higher quality?
