Dealextreme sent my products by horse

I ordered some Lithium batteries from Dealextreme on August 24, and they shipped out on the 26th. I received a ticket in the mail on September 5 indicating that the package went to my house, but nobody was home to sign it. So I returned the slip in the mailbox, but the DealExtreme package was still not there the next day. Or for the next week. I went online and checked the tracking for the package, and it says "Arrival at unit" (I'm not sure whether that means arrival at the post office or at my house). Anyways, I'm not sure what to do at this point. I was thinking of going to the post office to ask what was going on, but I want your recommendations first.

When you get the "slip" from the post person if you're not home you have to go to the office to claim your package.....

In the past times I just signed it and returned it in the mailbox, and then the mailman picked it up and delivered the package. It happened with my Oceanus laser.

They (DX) may want delivery confirmation w/ signature,
so yeah, you'll have to go to the P.O. & show ID & sign for it.

Yeah. DX requires signature confirmation for the cheapest crap. It's not often I have to sign for a $10 flashlight.

Ok, thanks. Off to the post office!

Dx can be really gay at times with the delivery confirmation crap. One time I ordered 7 different cheap ($3-$5) items in one combined order and they shipped them all out in like 5 different shipments and I needed to sign for every single package. I needed to go to the PO to pick up 2 freakin cr2 batteries and then in a couple of days I got another PO note and had to go pick up a package containing 10 silicone flashlight tailcaps worth an amazing $1.80. Now whenever I order <$14 items from dx I'm sure to always order them separately to avoid the signature required crap.

Crap    Clicking is easier than going to the PO to sign for a battery.

I've got a note on my door instructing the various postal people to under absolutely no conditions leave a scrap of paper on my doorstep instead of my package. There are instructions to leave the package with any of my neighbors, and if nobody in the whole neighborhood is home to just leave it on my porch. There are a couple of copies of the note with my signature on them that they can take if they need proof, and my note accepts responsibility (and absolves them of any responsibility) for the fate of the package once they leave it on my doorstep or with my neighbors. I haven't had any problems with disappearing packages, but even if I did it might still be less inconvenient than having to go to the goddamn post office to pick up a package that was, at one point, in the hands of someone standing on my doorstep.

I've got limited mobility and a weird schedule, and having to go to the post office is pretty close to 'colonoscopy' on my list of inconveniences and unpleasantries.

Actually, now that I think about it, the parallels between a colonoscopy and a trip to the post office are downright eerie. The colonoscopy is slightly less disturbing because at least they give you drugs for that.

Oh well, it depends on where you are, but it would be nice if you could just tick a box wether you want a required signature or not.

Here in holland its usually better if packages have to be signed for, as other ones are much more likely to get 'lost' in the mail... especially in summer when the postal company works with lots of temps that arent that affraid of being fired if they 'loose' to many packages.

I once ordered something from dealextreme on November 8th and it arrived March 27th.

I got something still coming from KD ordered 5th June. Looks like I'm going to win the waiting game. I've emailed them a lot about it.

Ok, I finally received the package, and got my lithium batteries for my Sonar case!
Except one thing-
They don't fit...
I peeled off the wrapping and sanded down the protection board to one of them, and they still don't fit.
Great, now I'm stuck with 2 17670s..
