1W 808nm Red Laser Pen Pointer w/ Safety Lock/Keys/Strap/Charger (1 x CR123A) - Free Shipping

So what is it a 808nM or a red? Good going dx now people who order this are going to think they have a defective red laser.

While 808nM is INFRARED

808nm is not completely invisible to our eyes, its looks like a dim-brown color, but definetely not red !

Yep people who don´t know that think they have a underspec RED laser.. And they describe this laser as a `pointer`which is bad in my opinion too :undecided:

I dont really see whats wrong with the listing (other then the rip-off price and probably underspec laser).
The specs listed and dot picture they provide is pretty accurate to a diode of this power seen upclose in darkness (flat bar is common for some of the 1W 9mm diodes floating around). It will appear somewhat close to 660nm to our eyes, albiet much dimmer then a mw of real 660nm due to the emitted wavelenth of 808nm).

IMO the onus is on the buyer to do some research before buying products they know nothing about and bieng dissapointed later.

This is really verry STUPID to add a 808nm 500mW laser listed as a red laser NOOBS will burn there eyes out thinking the batt is low.

Most of the people that will buy it will try to look on the diode while it is on while thinking
''It wont hurt my eyes, its dimmer than my 5mW cheap red''
''Holly $hit i can't see''

Like said, the onus is on the buyer. Not our our fault if natural selection happens to take its course due to the lack of research.

LOL, if they really want to rip noobs off they should suggest buying an IR filter cap with it.
