cause there are basically 2 different shapes, for glass lenses, around (both Aixiz, but one is full threaded, and one is half threaded), you probably have to take in consideration also this ..... i mean, one threaded for the full-threaded lenses, and one with a smooth hole (that can be pressfitted or glued) for the half-threaded ones ..... just an idea ;)

So... let's get it going RHD, find a host that none of the sellers on here offer as a kit or whatever, get some measurements, and order a bunch of cheap ass heatsinks for them! a $8 heatsink for a maglight would be extremely cheap.

Jake: to be honest ,given the relatively cheap material cost, I'm going to design my own host from the ground up and build it with these guys :)

I'm pretty sure I can do an awesome host in 3 or 4 pieces :)

I gues they dont like international orders :p i got quoted $800+ for 10 fairly simple heatsinks made from copper. Shipment already was $146 for a small box :eek:

machine shops charge accordingly to the size of the order. the less you order the more you pay. you have to consider the setup time, machine time, cost of material and labor.

Try changing that 10 pcs order to 100pcs order. I doubt your quoted cost will even double.

Yes it should be lower, but all in all still pretty pricy for me with shipping and all

I really like the program though, works really easy and doesnt require much from your pc, i myself work with autocad and such for my work but i like this better :p
