it doesn't matter about IR filter or not..just wondering which site still sells them to US citizens. Does kaidomain still sell even though their lasers say non-us?

well i need a 50mW green by this weekend. i can spend anywhere up to 80 bucks. I am willing to spend more for shipping as well as it does NOT need an IR filter.

I highly recommend LEDShoppe. I just received my 50mW green pointer today, and it is very impressive, even compared to their 30mW pointer. It will take at least 7 days to get to you, so that's your only consideration.

Well, no. But you can't expect good quality for such a cheap price. They're still really fun, they just leak IR and their power output varies a lot.

If you want a good quality green pointer, go to Laserglow or Novalasers, but expect to pay at least 4 times as much.

Green LD's don't exist. You can buy a red LD from Greg at Stonetek, TheMonk, or you could harvest your own from a DVD burner. You could get 250mW easily from a 20X or 22X diode, but with a 16X (which Greg sells), it would be iffy-with a good heatsink, it might last for a little bit.
You can measure ma's with a DMM (Duel multi meter) which go for around $10.
This isn't really the right topic to post this in, BTW.
