If I want to buy about a 400mW green handheld laser, which is the best place to get it? Or can I buy it with a group buy here? Viasho and CNI seem good. Thank you. |

A) please list some more details -- size, price range, quality, any preferences, etc. B) the search function or even a quick scan of some stickies would more than answer your question C) consider renaming the title of this thread to something more descriptive, such as "Need advice where to purchase a 400mW Green Laser". D) If you have a decent sum of money and you want to get something of proven and significant quality, but yet at a spectacular price (well for that level of quality) then check out Glenn's CNI GB's in the 'Group Buy' section. They take a while to complete, but if this isn't a need-one-now-or-i'll-die situation then I'd consider an investment of that type. Look around for GB#8, which is starting soon (GB#7, the last one, has just recently closed). hope it helps peace & thanks -cmak

Thank you everyone, I might get one through the GB #7. Also I have seen this website Top Laser Pointer - Green Pointers the lasers are from CNI, the people are really nice. What do you think about the lasers? Are they the same if I buy them from another site? |

For laser pointers I recommend Optotronics or Laserglow (which sells expensive but lab grade quality lasers).

if it's ur first green laser, i recommend this 350-400mw one at █▓█350mW - 400mW Green Laser Pointer Pioneer Series,$779.89,Freak Lasers. The peak power can reach 410mw, little ir residual, and more importantly, they offer a year's guarantee and u can return it for refund whenever u're dissatified. They will pay the UPS or DHL shipping fee for u. Good enough. They also guarantee its made of the 2.5w n-light 808nm, c-mount. Anyone can test it.

I would NEVER recommend the skylaser! Go with a 200mW O-Like or Rayfoss laser, they cost about 150$ and you won´t recognize a difference to the laser above. Second option is to participate Glenn´s group-buy. You can get a much better, stronger laser for less money than the skylaser product. |

Opto if you have the money and don't mind the size, or CNI (direct if you're in a hurry, or Glenn's GB if you have time and want to save $$) for variety of form factor and even less money. Those are pretty much the two most reputable/high-quality companies that come to mind. As far as "cheap-o's", there are good ones and there are bad ones but the same rule nearly always applies: "you get your money's worth". Go with O-Like or Rayfoss if you'd like (dare I say DX or SkyL) but it ain't gonna be a marvel peace & thanks -cmak

At powers this high, I would play it safe and buy from a trusted company... like already stated above, you get what you paid for.

i feel like youre going to get a whole lot of answers with a vague question like that. everyone has different preferences based on past experience. basically any of those will get you a good deal: opto or rayfoss or laserglow or even o-like (but they dont have 400mW greenies i dont believe). also if this is your first laser id not recommend getting a 400mW (start off small and work up) and make sure you have safety glasses!!!!
