Playing off of the innocent’s ignorance is a tactic many use, especially our very own government. Or, captivating the less intelligence with pretty colors, tasteful themes, and cool music. These people could sell ear plugs to the deaf or lasers to the blind. ;D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDRBfbSKQok&feature=related

If the other laser companies advertised as well as WL, they would sell to novice laser enthusiasts as well. Everyone should E-mail nova, LG or Opto, and tell them to go to the record books and get a sponsored link on google searches.

I'm not sure if Nova, LG or Opto wants to sell to novices. I think they take their products more seriously, maybe allowing them to provide optimum customer service dealing with a handful of more experienced "laser enthusiasts", rather then tons of "Noobies".

I don't hate wickedlasers. I just wish that they would reduce their ridiculous prices a bit or improve the quality of their lasers.

I do hate techlasers because most of their products are cheap ripoffs with poor quality control. Additionally some of the lasers and advertising on techlasers is ridiculous. WTF at the ranger series. $400 for a 50mw ir laser ::) And it looks like they simply copy pasted the specs from optotronics for their skybolt series.

So its bad for wicked to get many laser noob sales, but you dont want them to buy from any of the opther companies?

Personally, though I have nothing against Nova or opto, they are both great companies, but I think Laserglow is really Wicked's only full competitor as they are the only other company to sell the same range of lasers that Wicked do, from pointers through to the Hercs.
If LG were to step up their advertising like Wicked has done they could easily get 80% of wicked's noob sales.

I personally did not have any problems with my one purchase from WL (though I did get a defective 95mw CNI greenie, which I returned and they sent me one that has, knock on wood, worked well to this day), but their message board shenanigans have really irked me.

When they started the "other laser company" stuff that was the beginning of the end.....at least for my regular posting there. But, they own the site so I suppose they can do whatever they want... ::)

All the laser people from that forum should just come here. Its no longer a competitor forum with this one, its just for WL discussion. Its a shame because there are some very smart members at LC who have yet to join this website.

No, that's not what I mean. But I don't think that ANY laser company wants to see their laser in the hands of police on the news because of some idiot or kid who decided to blast an airplane, helicopter, bus, train...etc. But then again, I know that their disclaimers covers their ass, and there has to be some confidentiality issues too. I'm just recalling (off the top of my head) a thread a while back where someone claimed they were responsible for stopping a train, and I think he wanted to buy a 500mW IR laser from LG or
somewhere and the rep said he would rather sacrifice a sell then to sell to him (although IR isn't visible :p) because he was aware of the incident.

I give it up for WL advertising. I've never dealt with them and I've never been a member of LC. I stayed clear because what goes around comes around and I've heard ALLLLLL about WL. :p

I've been discussing this allot lately, but what's TRUELY more relevant: Image or Authentically? ::)

I am still a member of LC and also LPF. I want to know everthing new. What company did what!
You can be sure that most (I can say all but not sure) lasers are made in china. Chinese people are working for very very low salaries and this results cheaper products. Different companies pay different prices so the quality differs.
You can have underpowered or mode hopping lasers from WL but at least they didn't choose easy way (buying CNI's and send them after QC) instead they produced their own. Believe that they are not the same because I know the beam specs myself!

All of you can see the same low quality workmanship in glueing collimation lens.

This is my opinion!
I am absolutely unbiased.
I also can't say which is the best in QC as I didn't test so many!
I used DL, WL, now using Nova and LG. I mean I used at least one from every company :)
I appreciate all your opinions but I can say you are a bit biased on WL! ;)

i ain't biased. i got proof. they don't deserve to be a company. their quality control is a disgrace, and their advertising is a blatant lie. all i want is for them to fix this up as well as their prices. if they can do this i would gladly buy from them again.

I think I posted this somewhere else but w/e.
Imo all wicked needs to do to become one of the top companies is follow the following 3 steps.
1-Reduce their friggen ridiculous prices.
2-Actually test the lasers before sending them out and send you the output like nova does.
3-Better QC in general.
I have always liked the fact that wicked has its own unique selection of lasers and styles. They don't just resell CNI lasers like laserglow/dragon/techlaser/nova. You gotta admit that their lasers look better than the standard PGL models.

Maybe they would become a top company in our eyes but would they make as much money? :p
Btw, dragonlasers' spartan is their original design too.
