An Apology for Everyone

There are people from 6-8 months ago out hundreds of dollars with no laser and no ability to make a paypal claim. Joker scammed them. That is fact.

TBH I don't see him ever coming back here so banning him would more just be a symbolic action. One I would agree with btw but I doubt it is necessary. I mean if you were him would you log on and engage?

It's not necessary, but it would surely bring some closure to this issue. He's met all the requirements to be banned and then some. Threats, lies, scams, posting personal info of customers etc. The original motivation in keeping him unbanned was the hope that he'd address the issue(Which he clearly hasn't done).

Probably not, but it seems like some members have started a -rep campaign against him to warn newbies in case he ever does come back. Banning him would take care of that, and would leave the other members to use their -reps on something that actually deserved it.

Doesn't really matter either way IMO. If he (or anyone else) wants to screw someone later, they'll find a way. He struck me as too smart to use the same name anyway.

I'm just worried that new members might see that the site is down and then try to pm him wondering if he's still in business. Then they might be greeted with the all-too-familiar "Sure I can build that for you buddy. I'll get right on it"

Seems like he's had problems forever,(there are people from 6-8 months ago who never got their laser). but people kept recommending him because of the customers who actually got their items. I wonder how he chose who to send stuff to anyway? Did he just pull numbers out of a hat or something? It's really weird because some members like Stone, LED, ultron, photonist etc recently received items from him while others had been waiting months.

Very good points. I agree for closure reasons it would be a good thing.

How many days have to pass from the claim day,so as PayPal refund the money,if there are money there?

This question comes up often. First, it may vary by country. The answers for US based PayPal customers can be found in PayPal's Resolution Center. Here are some screenshots explaining the dispute process and providing some timelines for people in the US.

In the first screenshot, the link circled in RED provided the following four screenshots.

All images were resized to 800x600 or less, resolution isn't the greatest but should be readable.

Τhank you.

I just got my PayPal dispute refund back from Eitan, anyone have a suggestion for a different laser vendor? Hopefully US based?
No use based vendors due to our laws. I would recommend jetlasers or Sanwu laser shop though.

I'd agree with Raz, Sanwu and jetlasers are well known vendors. Sanwu would be my personal choice.

Also, if you stick around you could learn how to build your own, which is the best alternative to buying one's pre-built.

Just as many others, I ordered a laser from Eitan half a year ago, he constantly reassured me it'll arrive soon. He gave me multiple wrong tracking numbers BUT I actually received it! However, the laser wasn't working, there were no power certificate or manual, and the host didn't bear any Sci-fi logo. I contacted Eitan and he promised to replace it, then stopped responding.
Then I found this thread and claimed a refund, which I got successfully. So, now I have both the money and non-working laser. Do you think it could be repaired? It's 501b 520 nm 700mW. I have no experience in building or repairing lasers myself.
Also, I read the whole thread but my English isn't that good. What's the deal with customers' personal info, what did he do with it?
