You know. I recently started selling on eBay to get rid of some things I never use, and I haven't once gotten any feedback back. Like WTF? I leave the buyers feedback, but it's very disrespectful to not leave anything when you have a seller who ships you things out fast, and is friendly.

Kinda pisses me off. I just shipped off something else today. If you check my profile, it says "0" feedback. Although I have 2 satisfied people already :/

Have patience. I leave feedback about 90% of the time but not always right away as soon as I receive the items. I'm a busy person but eventually when I am at the computer killing time I go to the feedback section of my acct and get caught up. You can also message them a reminder.

How far lasers can go?

Depends on which postal carrier your using. FedX can go very far but UPS will not travel further than the united States. :D J/k

Do you mean how far will the beam travel? Well from what I have read those photons will travel all the way to the other side of the universe unless absorbed or obstructed by something. But if you mean the visible beam, the distance it will stay visible depends on the power and divergence of the laser. If you are wondering how great a distance can the flash from a laser be seen its mind blowingly far! People pointed a 1W 445 laser at the International Space Station in an experiment and it was very clearly seen from space. Not sure why they chose a blue laser over 532nm green which would have been even brighter.

I have seen these images before and it still blows my mind it was that bright and only 1mW! Lasers are pretty darn amazing. Sure gives us food for thought regarding laser safe practices and the power and potential harm we have sitting in our palms. Be safe, be smart.
Thanks for sharing this link Theodore.

For $75 and US based seller, that's really not bad at all. When I visited asia year and half ago or so, lowest price on similar lasers on the street there was ~$60 USD. They tend to suck when it comes to heatsinking (often VERY liberally slathered with cheap thermal paste inside which does more harm than good) but so long as the duty cycle is kept low, to under a minute, it's a good first 445nm.

Nor is there a big difference visually between even ~750mW and even 5W. I mean yes of course it's VERY obvious side by side, but both will produce a highly visible beam at night. One will just leave fewer spots where you need to touch up burn marks after.

Wait a sec, sorry for asking, I'm new:undecided:, but I'm getting confused here. Isn't 1mW like realy weak? I heared you need 200mW+ to burn stuff, and that ebay one has just 1mW? Yet it sais "burns stuff" in the description...

Ebay does not allow any laser pointers over 5mW to be sold.

Sellers skirt this rule by blatantly mislabeling their products.

1mW is weaker than the average presentation pointer by a little bit, and those advertised on eBay as 1mW are definitely not 1mW, not even close. The only reason that they're listed as that is because eBay doesn't allow lasers greater than standard pointer limit, which is >5mW. But, they are trying to get away with selling lasers about >5mW on eBay (above 1W if you're looking at one of the chinese 445nm lasers) so they can get money from it, obviously. The downside to this is that safety is just thrown out the window, as some people think they are actually getting a 1mW laser and as a result don't use safety glasses, potentially harming themselves. Do us all a favor and get yourself a pair of safety glasses if you choose to get a laser like this. :)

You're right about the powers, 1 mW is 200 times less powerful than 200 mW.

Don't always believe the descriptions esp. from Chinese sellers. High powered lasers are often rated much higher than they actually are and low power pen lasers are often under rated ie 1 mW or 5 mW in order to sell them on sites such as ebay.
