Despite the fact that there are mixed reports of it being present, and not - I'm able to still get it. Not always, but sometimes. Who knows what combination of browsers / oses triggers it. But I think they need to get someone to really clean their code out.

Ya, idk if i have a virus beacuse it said to run or open. Didnt read it beacuse i closed it right away . But im virus scanning anyway.

Do a ful system restore to a few months ago and you should be fine

Yup, not worth the risk, steer clear , or visit there on your phone or ipod/pad , the virus cant affect them.

I'd just buy from their ebay store.

for 100% safe surfing on a windows machine download and install this free app: Sandboxie - Sandbox software for application isolation and secure Web browsing and run your internet browser inside it. It isolates your browser and everything that comes from it in a virtual space on your hard drive so no matter what you absolutely can't get infected even if you downloaded and installed a virus on purpose (it would just install inside the sandbox) and that sandbox can be emptied anytime you want or you can set it to auto empty everytime all the applications inside it (in this case just the web browser) are shutdown. And naturally the applications that are run inside the sandbox can't perform critical operations that could harm your system (like install any drivers or record your keystrokes etc.)

thats what all the "pros" use, including me The last time I used an antivirus program was 3 years ago and since uninstalling that I haven't got infected even once. Antivirus programs create a false sense of security that could possibly make you more vulnerable to infections so I don't use them at all (I just use sandboxie + a free (and very good) firewall called Comodo Firewall)

i just tried going to their shop and it didn't come up and norton said it blocked an attack/threat to my computer... i don't trust aixiz anymore. where should i buy my modules at now?

That sucks that this is happening to aixiz. Chuck has been a good guy in my dealings with him. It has to be a major hit on business. I'll just call him when I need anything else

Guys, if you're concerned, don't stop buying from Aixiz, just get the same stuff from their eBay store

On their bay site I saw that they have a 445 glass lens and also a 405 glass lens. I thought they were the same 405/445 glass lenses? Are the two different with different coatings for 405 and 445 now? Or am I missing something

Guys relax the site is fixed.. It just takes some time before it gets removed from the antiviruses blacklists.

Maybe the one listed as 405 is the newest batch of half-thread.

I do know that when this new shippment of 400-450 FT glass came it AixiZ has been sending out that one and none from the older batches.


I think that the virus alerts may be still in place from back when they were still there. Either way if anyone wants to make up a list of wanted items they can email it to CharlesMaricle@aixiz.net and request an invoice. This way you can place an order using the invoice and pay with any way you prefer. IIRC AixiZ also does sales on Amazon.

when I go to Aixiz dot net or com I see no virus notes -I use only the free Windows virus protection and Window Washer.The 800 # on the site will put you with someone at AixiZ and you can do a toll free order over the phone- no virus worries that way. You might even get a discount for being from LPF or from FOH (friend of haks(Len) j/k ... lol

I gather from talking to AixiZ in person that everything that can be done to fix all this IS being done and they take all of this very seriously. Huge Companies with endless resources to combat the hackers still become victims and lately personal info of millions of customers has been stolen. AixiZ has been there for the laser community for many years . over the past they have sent out worldwide hundreds of thousands of blank models alone. All this is a huge PITA but it could and may get worse. I got hacked spam /hoax emails from the UPS and even from the director of the FBI.

Maybe the old way of mailing a check or MO is what we will need to go back to.

I'm going to order a 445, and a 405 glass lens from their ebaystore, and see if they have different effects on 405/445 while using 405/445 glass lenses.

Maybe they are different and the 405 lens will do better than the 445 lens on a 405, and maybe vise verse. That would be cool!
